Bird Gardening and Nature Community :: Video Game World

For those who don't know, Nick Games is working on a sequel to last year's GBA game, Nicktoons: Freeze Frame Frenzy. However, Nicktoons Unite! looks to improve on it in every way possible.

While the GBA and DS versions will be simple sidescrolling platformers, the console version of the game will feature 4-player cooperative play, with one player as Spongebob Squarepants, one as Timmy Turner, one as Jimmy Neutron, and one as Danny Phantom. (Odd, since Otto Rocket, Arnold, and Tommy Pickles were playable in the last one, but don't seem to show up here...) And this time, it's not this silly photo-taking business from the last game. No, this time, it's just the kind of action-packed puzzle solving game that you'd expect from an exploration platformer.

The story so far is fairly unknown, but what we do know is that the main villain is none other than Jimmy's archnemesis... *Tim Curry voice* PROFESSOR CALAMITOUS! Ng-hey... Apparently, the professor has allied himself with the likes of Plankton, Mr. Crocker, and Vlad Plasmius to form an organization known as "The Evil Syndicate" and built a machine known simply as "The Doomsday Device" to take over the world. So Jimmy, in a not-unusual stroke of genius, brings together a group of allies of his own (Spongebob, Timmy, and Danny) to travel between the different worlds and stop them. But based on the evidence I've seen, I'm betting that the Syndicate is not the only threat that the foursome will have to contend with. No, I believe that there's one more character who will be on the side of evil, and that character is...ZIM! And I have evidence to prove it.

1. Zim (with GIR's help) was the main villain in the last Nicktoons game.
2. At the end of the last game, Zim had upgraded his robot clones and had come up with some sort of new plan, which we were never told. A large "TO BE CONTINUED" flashed on the screen, so that means he's got to be returning sooner or later.
3. Zim already has a 3D model, which was used in Nicktoons Party Blast, so Nick Games could easily reuse that.
4. Zim and GIR pwn Prof. Calamitous any day. Fact.

Like the last game (or Kingdom Hearts, if you prefer), this one will feature our heroes venturing through different Nicktoon worlds to defeat the evil scientist, but this time, a whopping 15 worlds are to be included, 10 more than the last one (not counting Zim's ship), meaning we'll see at least 15 different Nicktoons represented in this game. Bikini Bottom, Dimmsdale, Retroville, and Amity Park have already been confirmed (naturally...), plus Ocean Shores, and...wherever the AGU kids live will probably make it in since they were in the last game. So that means we'll get those, plus 9 new worlds. I'm betting that *insert name of town where Zim's base is located*, Tremorton (My life as a Teenage Robot), Arnold's neighborhood (Hey Arnold), Tak's village (Tak and the Power of Juju), and the Fire Nation (Avatar) will be included, but who knows? Perhaps we'll get a blast from the past in the form of O-Town (Rocko's Modern Life), wherever CatDog live, or Norbert and Dagget's dam, but that would still leave one more possible option...

So far, the game is slated for a stateside release on October 28, 2005 (according to GameFly). Below are the box art and all the official screens of the console version.
