Sad Day for the Campbell River STorm ( 07:06:33 MonNov 12 2007 )

Want to be one of the first to say goodbye and good luck to Dennis McRoberts, one of the most considerate individuals this organization had. Dennis's leaving this club will surely be a challenge to the new owners and their respective halves. Many changes to the Storm this year, some good and some ...well...lets hope things work out....As for the team... keep on playing good hockey guys.

One era is over, with thanks and good wishes to Dennis McRoberts. As another era begins, I believe the Storm will be just as competitive and will do well under Feeney/Rushton in their quest for the VIJHL title.:thumbgreen:

Mike Feeney and Co. enjoy a 6-2 win tonight over Vic. Storm played a neutral ice zone from the start, took away centre ice on Vic. and led 3-0 after the first. First Storm shot on goal by Wowchuk put C.R. up 1-0, later on with the Storm on the P.P. got their second goal 8 Sec. into the P.P. and !4 sec. after that got another one and the fans were right into it. Second period; Vic. played with more jump getting 2 goals of their own, one of them on the P.P. and it looked like Vic. ment business. Storm made it 4-2 on a beauty goal by Larock getting around the defence, cut in front and put it home. The rest of the game from that point seen the Storm get two more goals, a total team effort for 60 Min. Virtanen as usual made big stops when called upon. Captain Wowchuk gets first star for his 2 goal effort. Storm backup tender is Andrew Lines? Can't put a finger on it, but it seems to me I've heard the name before.:confusedgreen:

The Storm called up Tyler Bachmeier as the backup goalie last night. He was listed as an AP.

I mentioned Andrew lines as he was listed on the lineup sheet for last nights game. I think he was one of the tenders who attended training camp.

Andrew plays for the Midget Rep team, and has been called up as the AG. Just not Friday night, it was Tyler. Until they get another goalie carded, I'm sure we'll see one or the other at every game...
