Battery stuck
I bought a used drozd, went to replace the batteries and the bottom two were stuck. Got one out with HIGH powered magnets, the other battery is a "saft LS 14500 3.6v" is not very magnetic. Got a piece of gorilla tape stuck it to the side of the battery and the tape tore before the battery came out. Took the AR stock off and started disassembling but, stopped when I realized I had to de-solder the solenoid. Anyone else ever have this problem? Any ideas?

Re: Battery stuck
Hello M14.I had the same thing happen when I got my first drozd.I was using n-batteries with electrical tap on them for a better fit. What a nightmare. I tried all kinds of stuff but the bottom 2 batteries was struck solid. In the middle is a very small little shaft. It runs the length of the battery wells. I got a small rigid wire.I bented a very small hook on the end of it.I wriggled it down past the stuck battery, turn the hook inword and gentlely turn the wire so that the hook snagged on the edge of the battery. When it was hook solid,I pulled on the battery first gentle, then much harder. The battery moved. Did it again and it came out..I think I also put a couple of drops of oil down a couple of hours before. Make sure you have a bend in the wire or coat hanger to be able to really pull. It was a bastard to get out. GD.

Re: Battery stuck
They might be sticking because they burst. Baking soda and water would help, at least with regular batteries.

Re: Battery stuck
I used that combo cleaner before as e well. Baking Soda and a little water and cleaned the terminals right up with a terminal wire brush tool.

Re: Battery stuck
I got it out with some gun oil and a "custom" tool bent from some steel rod.
Thanks for the help

Also, What's a good price for an old used bumble bee?

Re: Battery stuck
Guy's got to remember that battery compartment was made for AA batteries, so you have to be careful with the diameter of the battery you put in there.
