Fittings for a 3 foot Helium tank?
Hello all. Went back to Paintball store to see if they could fix my gun.It turns out that there is a very small hair line crack on the female fitting that allow a co2 tank to be screwed in.They going to repair it under warranty but the part has to be ordered in from Tippman.It will take 2 weeks.While was there I noticed a Helium tank.It turns out that the owner of the PB store also has a business fiilling party ballons.The tank is about2.5-3feet high.Maybe a ten pounder.Turns out the person is really in to PB guns and airguns.I explained what helium can do and he said i could fill my new ninja tank with helium.The problem is the fitting.The fitting he has does party ballons and is very low pressure.These tanks are usually 1200 or 1500psi.I could directly fill without a reg.How to tap into the main tank fitting and useing a remote into the ninja which is 4500psi and output 800.If the Helium tank is say 1500.Iwould just fill 1/2 fill and the rest Hpa.The one drozd I have has a somewhat sealed breech.I am going to give this a try. You may have to fashion an adapter. But I doubt the person would let you use an unauthorized part. There was someone else here on the board that has done it. Maybe they will chime in?

With helium its all about keeping in what you paid for to shoot. Maybe a blend might work? Lots of experimentation to be done!

No I have never used Helium before.I did find some info on the use of Helium in a Condor.Friggen WILD. It was in .22 and if I remember it was hitting over 1750fps but was as loud as .243 powder burner.The blend thing is funny.The best ratio are 100% Helium or 60%+40%Hpa.They seem to give the same fps or close.Because Helium is so light your normal airgun will use a lot more per shot.The blend is most likely the way to go.More shots and less price.My breech is only partically sealed but I can seal the whole thing.Using my drozd with the 6mm barrel only got me 480fps but I believe KG got 0ver 700fps with less psi.I was using 1600 and I belive he was using 1000psi.With a little extra work,I could get 700 but with the Helum blend and the reg on the ninja tank set at only 800 or usr my other steel tank 1000fps is not impossible.WOW! GD.

I think that the pellet was the weighest Eunjin and still 1700+ but the big increase was in the fpe.It was a 40% increase in fpe. GD.

Fired .22 Condor on a -10F day using high psi Hpa. We could be heard quite loudly 1/4 to 1/2 mile away.It was so cold that the drozd's batteries stop working and had to sit the car and warm them up.Imagine a Condor on Helium for loudness.Must be like a .243 powder burner. GD.Ps. Will someone talk about the orginal question on a fitting for the 3.5 foot Helium tank. GD.

You can load a deer feeder with a super powerful mix of tannerite and then wait. When you have 3-4 deer there hit the tannerite and instant venison burger!

I have used Helium and got superb results for a solenoid fired gun. I think I posted all of that under my Test Bed thread. The test compared helium to air using my valve fired by the droid solenoid. It showed the performance level for some serious air gunning.

I got well over 1000 fps with 6mm steel and over 2000 fps with 6mm plastic. I will check for that thread.

I've tried that with flash powder. Pretty cool to see/hear a pellet go bang! Try shooting a disposable lighter.

It won't set off Tannerite.
