I recently found this forum and it's great! I have a question. Does anyone know of a third party 3/8" dovetail mount that can be glued or screwed to the 2003 somehow? I bought a laser sight that I would like to mount to a 2003 but there's no dovetail. The sight came with an adapter to mount it to the trigger-guard, and it works pretty well but I'd really rather do it with a dovetail mount. If there's nothing like this, can anyone tell me a good way to cut or carve accurate and fairly professional looking slots in the top of the gun that would give me a good grip to mount the sight to. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do--just making it look good seems like the hardest part. I'm open to any other suggstions too. THANK YOU VERY MUCH |

You can see the result in my 'for sale' thread. Since the cheap laser does not have adjustments I made the mount adjustable - slots for range and shims for windage. |
