JK Drozd, here's a pic just for clarification, is this how yours went back together? When I unscrewed the rear nut, the nylon (?) seal was stuck in the housing by the threads, like a dummy I pryed it out with a pick damaging it which is why it wouldn't seal. I just used the other side of the seal against the valve stem.
Snap the rear seal on to the nut, press the nut into the housing and thread the nut back in. The extra force that's needed to get the seal past the threads is what makes it easy cross-thread the nut. I tried so many times I had to use a razor blade to clean up the inner and outer threads before I could get it back together without leaking (finally!!!). Hope This Helps. For anyone else interested in modding these Walthers, it's really not worth the risk to take the valve apart, as you can get a power boost from hammer and barrel mods alone. More to follow

I was going to take pics once the new trigger linkage is done, I don't wan't to grind the original one away so I'm making another from scratch for the f/a mod. For the record, I'm not too fond of how the original mod was done as it basically forces the gun to slam-fire until it's empty, even dropping the slide too hard would set if off...
The gun is pretty easy to take apart just to check out, but the internals of the valve just shouldn't be messed with (we found that out the hard way). You can remove the valve assembly from the gun by removing 2 pins, just don't unscrew ANYTHING from the valve. I think the easiest way to get more power out of this thing is by tweaking the hammer spring and rod, working on that mod too..

It's just reeally picky, the main seal (the Japanese made one at least) is something like nylon or delrin so it's not as forgiving as a rubber o-ring.

ya, it took me 2 hours to get it back together last night and it leaks like i shot a hole in it. Now I know what they meant when they said "there are no serviceable parts"

actually happened as i was tightening the co2 bulb, but it appeared that the co2 was coming out of the top of the gun as if the air valve...duh, i was just reading what you wrote about the air valve and agree, i guess i must have reassembled wrong or something blew out the that first time, but at the same time i had a second ppk, and exactly the same way and time it also shows the same problem as first...
thx, jimk | ||||

Mine has a clear seal around the piercing pin, with one of the hand grips off it's easy to see if it's, the only other thing I can think of is if the valve is stuck open (it's kind of picky if you've taken it apart)

to anyone interested in the ppk's , i have a used one for sale, BUT it isn't working, it needs a seal somewhere as it spits out all the co2 as soon as you pierce the 12 gram cartridge, i bought 2 of them when they came out, but i think because i kept them loaded (@ the same time both PPK's had/have the same problem that perhaps that was the cause of the seal?? problem...
if anyone has an idea as to what happened to my ppk, please feel free to enlighten me, thanks in advance jimk oh, i would sell one PPK for $40 as is , or if i investigate & fix the problem, then i would pass on the cost of repair, which can't be too expensive, my guess would be $50 total after repaired properly, the price includes shipping, as long as it's within the fifty states

It's a fun gun as it is. I haven't even tried the f/a mod yet, I just can't bring myself to grind away the linkage for it... My first task is to get it up to at least 450fps

out of the box it shot 295fps, time for some tuning.....
Edit: This gun has a LOT of room for improvement.. The mag seal bites (basically isn't one), vented mag (where the Drozd also looses a lot of it's power), and that the hammer is not under spring pressure its entire stroke. I really like the gun, but after a trip to the hardware store it could be soooo much better

you think $70 is expensive? over here a ppk costs Lm80, thats like $240. I bought my drozd at $360. Malta is rip-off expensive and you cant find anything here. I'm one of two drozd owners in the country. Mines the only modded one
