Re: Bulk CO2 Adapter For Paintball Bottles...

Having a shoulder strap setup will make loading with a bulk co2 easier. I wont have to put the gun down every reload. Im trying to conceive of a system for where to put the speed loader during firing. I thought maybe a velcro strip on the loader and either on the tank or the mag somewhere.
Or maybe (smack on the old suborital toris) i could just put it in my t-shirt pocket. Either way I wont have to walk around anymore with sounding like the Good Humour/good and Plenty man, as my shorts gradually drop down to my ankles carrying mags, co2 bulbs and loader.

Get a CO2 tank. I had 50 pounder for my paintball field but it's way to big for our BB gun needs. A 20 pounder is about right. A siphon tube to bring the liquid up from the bottom of the tank is really nice unless you want to turn it upside down each time. You do need to get straight liquid into your small bottle. Around Oregon, a 20 pound tank can be had for around $65 used to around $115 new. If you buy a used one the welding shops usually just exchange an empty for a full one and charge you the CO2 fee...roughly $12.50 to $15. (All tanks have to be hydro-tested and stamped as such every five years or they cannot fill them. The exchange program is good because you never have to pay to have your tank tested and re-certified.)

Now, go to E-bay and buy a good 2 valve CO2 fill station hose. You can pick them up brand new for around $40 shipped to your door. You'll need some sort of a scale that is fairly accurate so you don't exceed pressures. They sell expensive digital scales that will zero for you at the push of a button. I go for the thrift store variety. I have an old produce balance scale that works great. That is all you need...or a spring scale.

Take your bottle, say a 9 oz. size, and stick it in your freezer for 15 minutes or so to cool it way down so it will take the liquid CO2 more easily. With your 2 valve filling station firmly attached to the 20 pound tank and the valves off, screw the 9 oz. bottle onto the fill station's hose adapter, then crank down the knob to push in the bottle's valve. Open the purge valve on the fill station to make sure the bottle is empty then close it. Now, open the 20 pound tank's valve just enough to hear the CO2 coming into the system. Put the hose and adapter and bottle onto the scale and get a reading. Your target will be 9 oz. more than the empty weight. Simply open the inner valve of the fill station and the liquid gas will begin filling the small bottle. When the scale reaches your targ

Re: Bulk CO2 Adapter For Paintball Bottles...

Im curious as to the investment required for a co2 fill system. I could start a sparkling springwater business maybe call it OzarkuuuuuurrrpAh water co. Actually im thinking to the future with the nephews possibly involving
paintball activities as they are now at that age(granting almighty sister-in-laws approval). Saw this basic diagram of how one way its set up. Do you need a compressor or cant you just use gravity?

Whats up with the attachments? I thought you just posted a pic?

If you don't fill your own tanks, many paintball stores/fields will charge the same fill fee for anything up to a 9 oz. bottle. That makes them a much better deal for gas mileage.

A remote adapter is next, eh? Carry the tank in a belt holster with a coiled hose plugged into the bottom of the Drozd. Works great.

Well, i hope you didnt march into the PO with the thing unable to wait:lol: You must feel like a kid in a candy box.
That nervous adrenaline of anticapation. I await the arrival
of my own. I have already gone to the local paintball shoppe and cased the cannisters(hey, poetic alliteration).
Anyway, im btw the 9oz and 12oz. The better deal is on the 12oz but the 9oz is much lighter and has rounded top and bottom. Didnt see the 3oz. Decisions.

Bulk CO2 Adapter For Paintball Bottles...

Major-Smackdown shipped my two new bulk adapted Drozd magazines. Wow. He does do a nice job. It was ALL as advertised. He even machines an inside curve on the portion of the support that bolts to the back of the mag for a stronger fit. I'm impressed. Oh, and I must mention that he appears to either glass bead or sand blast the machined parts and they look great.

I had to pick mine up at the post office five miles away and got so excited I ran all the way home to test fire the whole shebang. I fill my own bottles from a large supply tank and tried both a 7 oz. bottle and a bitty lil' 3 1/2 oz. tank.

Pow Pow Pow...full bore power without fade on every shot with PLENTY of shots to make your fingers raw reloading.

The thing shoots so well with this system it is easy to forget it is a BB gun with short range accuracy. Those small, round, light BB's start going every which way after 15 yards or so. With this bulk system, it feels and sounds like a .22 rifle and one begins to expect it to shoot like that too. Ain't gonna happen. Those of you that have adapted the longer barrels or use tighter BB's would LOVE this setup.

Thanks to Major-Smackdown for a great product. He has my personal endorsement.

Can anybody give me a ride back to the post office to pick up my car?
