@whiptats..." i've got a small(10 inches long) 50 cal. model cannon that fires, blk pwdr and lead balls...forbidden from all family events for several years now!"

Made me laugh. Sounds like a Christmas to remember!

Re: christmas at my brother's house

Hi whiptats,

Just sneakin' in an old post reply here, now that it's the Christmas mark!

One son for myself, but have been on my own for 7 years now (he's 27 y.o.).

In the 'ol Radical tradition, just for 'ol times sake!

I've gotta replace my "N" batteries after a little more than a month. They seem to suck power faster than "AA's".

Also, have to set up my sling swivel set up. I've got the right swivels at this point, anyway...

Also, the LCD needs afixment...

Regards,

DeTerminator

Re: christmas at my brother's house

you are a very lucky fellow to have a son ,Nuglor. i'm not kidding when i say it looks like fun. i have no children and if my meager skills and luck, w/ prayers thrown in to be safe ,all hold up -i'll make it to the end w/out. but i was able to travel the world and live free w/ no thought of tomorrow-no responsibilities. i have been so severly blessed in both natural ability and the people who mentored me in my professional life that i could easily go ANYWHERE in the world, with nothing butt my tools, and start a new, financially stable life...and have that stable new start running smoothly w/in a month or so...and i did. BUT, i won't ever see my boy learn to shoot!

Re: christmas at my brother's house

Yeah, but it's even better when your 7 yr old son starts talking with a redneck accent and says, "Lookey here Pa, I'm a crack shot" and takes his Daisy Red Ryder and proceeds to knock down 6 cans in a row. When I let him try my Drozd, he put the laser pointer on one of the cans and turned it into a collander! He couldn't wipe the grin off his face. THEN, my friend broke out the paintball gun and I think my son found his calling. He started blasting trees out at 20 and 30 yards like he's been doing it all his life! He turned to me and said, "Watch this, I'm going to make a smiley face on the side of the shed." AND HE DID!!! I couldn't believe it. It wasn't the prettiest face, but you could definately tell what it was! I'm so proud!

Re: christmas at my brother's house

machinegun, i KNOW exactly what u r talking about!!! i've got a small(10 inches long) 50 cal. model cannon that fires, blk pwdr and lead balls...forbidden from all family events for several years now! but it was an instant hit w/ my neices n nephews that one year!!! my sister already caught me as i was about to go for a "walk" w/ "da boyz" so all i was allowed to show em was THE BB GUN go clikliklikliklikliklik (last night) ... i'm 51 years old now buy all the toys i never had! much mellower and wiser than way back when. would i EVER risk the safety or security of ANY of my neices or nephews??? Nah! anyhow if ya ask any of the kids "Who is you're favorite relative?", they ALL say "YOU UNCLE MIKE!!!", and thats all thats important...
