Go for it. This gun is easy to work on and based on a very simple principle. If your going to do your own mod work, the hardest thing you need to know how to do is solder. If you can use a screwdriver and have a little common sense, it's a breeze. It's also a TON OF FUN! There's nothing quite like it on the market today. Ammo is cheap, Air is cheap but the feeling of completely unloading a clip into something in less than 2 seconds is PRICELESS!

I'm new to the forum, so forgive me if I am intruding or asking a question that doesn't fit the guidelines (I'll have to learn the ropes somehow, right) I just wanted to know if you think the Drodz is too high maintenance for someone new to airgunning (who probably expects a gun to do too much too quickly). I'm not as familiar with non firearms, and was wondering if you think I should learn more before starting to experiment. I don't want to wreck the gun. I've just gotten a new one and I'm trying to get another one. Should I get one that's already customized or maybe just have a WIP? Didn't mean to butt in to someone else's convo.

whiptats,
that one has actually been tossed around here before if i remember correctly, it ended with drozd fans not wanted a strafer like weapon, they want a positive action for each shot, not sure if i'm saying it right, but it would make it like a airsoft, to quote others...plus lots of work as well cya latr, jimk | ||||

since the "action "on the drozd is all controlled electronicaly what about turning the whole BBgun upside-down so the mag feeds from the top, relocate the pistol-grip back to where you started(and the trigger micro-sw)?...then you could top load and and gravity feed w/ maybe a low power agitator or screw type assist. Uhhh! if it made me this tired thinking of this i guess it would be a butt-load of work and would it even be a drozd after that? PLUS some smarter folks than me have been working on it. just haven't heard anybody touch the idea, and don't know if it might work. but the idea is free.
