Part #3, Barrel Bushing, holds the slotted magazine as it slides in place with a tiny tab against the Gasket. This provides a better seal for the CO2 blast that sends our BB’s arching downrange. It would seem that if there is ANY play in the machining at the factory the weight of the bulk bottles might leverage the valve away from that Gasket allowing the gas to be less efficient than it already is.

Also, that same weight, over time, might actually break off the steel tab on the bushing. It isn’t really stout and putting those bulk bottle equipped mags up in there might create metal fatigue over time. If a tiny bit of metal falls out someday then we’ll know for sure. (Fortunately, it is easily replaced.)

For that reason, the remote hoses or smaller bottles connected to the Smackdown bulk system might be more efficient and give less potential for damage in the long haul.

Any thoughts on that foreseeable problem?

Also, I haven’t counted BB’s yet but I will. I don’t think about it much because I fill my own bottles. I’m just enjoying Major_Smackdown’s conversion too much. I swear it has turned this thing into a .22 machine gun in sound and feel. I’ll eventually get a count and post it.
