sweet weapon there radical,
i wish i lived in a more liberal state & had a spotless past, but i'm in mass. w/a checkered past from over 20yrs ago, and occasionally i wil run into trouble just buying bb',s, pellets, and co2's, as though its not a law ,but some vendors feel the need to exercise their own laws, which are i won't sell anything to you without a FID card, even though dicks's sporting goods or walmart will sell all the above proviidng ur 18 yrs of age which i am so...... enjoy ur freedoms while they last, but i suspect all the trigger lock registrations & other programs are a way to track down ALL guns in due time for the final round-up just my own thoughts in type, jimk

You guys have me counting my blessings big time. I lived in Pacific Grove on Monterey Bay back in 1967-1969 when it was Vietnam time for all us olive drab draftees. My wife and I announced one day that we needed to get back to Oregon and buy some land to raise our kids upon before the prices went totally whacko. We did it.
Come, you guys, I can shoot on my range behind the house here...anything I want. I'm 8 minutes out of the center of the capitol and totally legal to blast away with anything that goes bang. ...And I do. Full auto? No problem. Assaults? No problem. Come, my friends, and bring your ammo.

I'm kinda torn on SoCal...I love the climate in the winter, but traffic is such a nightmare on any freeway, and the smog! Oh my god it's horrible! Not to mention there's nowhere to shoot power burners within 50 miles (that range in San Berdoo only allows pistols... *grumble grumble*)

Damn OlPistolPacker...there's something we have in common. You live in the area with the most meth use per capita, I live in the area of the US with the most meth drug labs per capita (Inland Empire, CA)...sheesh what a sad state the world's in
ANd yeah radical, I do live in a Nazi state...the liberal ol' californie! I do live in a conservative area so I'm happy about that, but it's illegal to shoot ANYTHING in town. So I normally get stuck plinking at a pellet trap for 20 minutes with that crosman 2100...When we want to shoot the bigger airguns we take a car ride to God's country about 10 minutes up the highway. Lastly, power-burners get shot at the range 25 minutes away or an hour up the highway. And despite living in CA, we took a vacation this year and when we went through Arizona I bought me a 25 round mag for the 10/22 ![]()

OPP when you mention meth, your talking about the MidWest!! It id fricken everywhere. Its easier to find meth than a good blend coffee sometimes!
I keep a Starfire 30M1 9mm near at all times. My secondary backup is a CZ100 9mm light weight polymer. But I can nail gnats with my Star. Rails on the inside, so smooth no words. You evaluation unfortunately is accurate an demanding of personal security. I have 2 convalescent parents to take care of and I cannot pull any punches. ![]()

Yet again the brethren of the Drozd bring mirthful twitching to my facial muscles.
A couple of years after I got married, my wife dragged me to Los Angeles to meet a long lost great uncle. He was a colorful and crusty old codger and I took a liking to him. He showed me this big ol' long gun that he actually had under his pillow. I was a combat trained, non-com in the military at the time but was still astonished at the bore of that sucker, whatever it was. I laughed and thought he was a bit extreme. It is 38 years later and I now actually sleep with a pistol under MY pillow. Uncle Rudy was just ahead of his time. It is a pathetic and sad world out there...and I grew up here without even locking our doors for the first 17 years of my life. Sheesh. Ain't meth wonderful? Oregon has the distinction of the number 1 ranking in the United States in meth use per capita. Bee safe.

Well, I don't have my Drozd yet but this is my collection so far...
Powder Burners: Ruger 10/22 Carbine, Wood Stock, Stainless Barrel .22 LR S&W 622 Pistol Stainless .22 LR Airguns: Benjamin 392 Gamo 220 .177 Crosman 111 (.22 torn apart at the moment, needs new seals) Crosman 2100b* .177 Gamo Auto-45 .177 Daisy Powerline 990* .177 *technically it belongs to my dad but I use it far more than he ever would, so it's mine now lol..j/k My collection is growing every day... and don't tell my parents but I stole some bolt lock keys to the Ruger and I keep a loaded magazine hidden near the rifle in my room, and the keys are 10 feet from that. If I'm ever home alone and there's an intruder I'll be happy to have that...he won't lol

I STILL reload my Drozd's.
Just got my 5th one and I'd forgotten how so yellow they are. Yeah, be careful, Match, three perps kicked in my door to splinters some months back and relieved me of a lifetime collection of guns. Broke my heart. I, like Radical, had given them names and they were personal friends. I don't name my guns any more. I couldn't bear to lose them and feel the pain of a personal relationship lost. I've got a Dillon 550 and do .30 carbine, .223, 9mm, .380, .38, .357, .30-.30, .300 Win Mag, and .32 (Hard one to find the dies for). When I get to cranking out about 500 shells an hour, I get everything loaded up and don't do it again for about three years. Honestly, I have cut back my centerfire gun shooting to about 10% of what I used to shoot since getting my Bumble Bees. ...and I have my own shooting range on my farm. I figger I've sputtered out more rounds from the Bumble machines in the past year and a half than in the previous 55 years of shooting "real" guns. I'm hooked. My pinky finger is still crooked from where I shot myself but it hasn't slowed me down one bit. I may get a toe next.

Well, I reload some. I used to reload all of my trap loads, until I found out that I could buy Win AA trap loads at Gander Mountain for $3.60 a box (if you buy 10 flats at a time, and they will buy back the hulls for 4 cents each) for a net price of $2.60 per box. Hell, I can't reload that cheap !! I also used to reload .45 Colt for my Ruger Blackhawk (250 gr. Hornady XTP's at 1400 FPS) and I still reload the .38, .357 and .44 mags.

Radical, I actually took pics last night, but they looked like crap !!!! Uh, I have never really been around a Russian M38. Are you talking about a Moisin-Nagant? Can you post pics directly to the thread, or do they have to be hosted? Very funny pistolpacker.........
![]() BTW, the 1911 is a great gun, light trigger, accurate, and fairly inexpensive to shoot (compared to the 10MM). ![]()

It a Yugoslavian M70AB2 built onto an ITM receiver. These dont have the trunion bulges. Not many have been produced. Same as HERE except wo the trunion bulges. This vector HERE would be comparable, but the Yugos have a little higher value. Cant wait to get to the range next weekend.
