Thanks Guys.
I don't get to shoot my powder burners much either. Work, work and family take all my time. Winter isn't helping either. Hopefully this spring I will get some time. Need to get my home work bench cleared up, and get my projects organized, order some things to finish them. Then I can get to go shooting as the weather gets better.

VERY NICE WEAPONS MrNewbie! You have good taste in your guns! The security six is a nice catch. I know and have my share of safe queens. The wood on the Ruger semi 22(Mark 1?) gives it a lot of character! I have a dozen plus Crosman Mark1, Mark2, 150's, 600's that I have all sorts of custom grips on. I have an earlier post of a Makarov 9x18 with some sweet rosewood checkered grips.
Is that zebra wood on the MK1? Savage makes nice long guns. This is my first step into bolt action long guns except for a Yugo 24/47 Mauser. Like the lever action savage as well. Lastly EVERYONE should at least one .45 1911! I have a High Standard .

Hello Mrnewbie and all. That Savage model 99.My grandfather had one but much older, maybe the year 1900.The caliber was very strange. It was a savage 3030.It is different than any other 3030.The bullets were made only by savage. It also had buckhorn sights. GD.

Thanks Cam. The action is very smooth and a very crisp 2-3lb trigger pull. The barrel is clean and sharp. The VZ receiver has been reblues but no sign of any prior pitting. Im going to get a barrel chamber cast just to make sure its 7mm Mauser. Should be but to be on the safe side.

I used to dig the clay "wadding" out of those "D" Estes rocket engines, and pack 'em full of rifle powder, and glue the end solid again. I'd shoot them out of a pvc pipe I attached the hand launcher from the rocket kit to. My 6th grade RPG. Those went bang pretty good. I was known to make napalm from ivory soap and gasoline, and I could make great smoke bombs out of saltpeter and powdered sugar. Ahh, grade school, that brings back memories........
Of course, an empty Co2 bulb filled with that same rifle powder went bang a whole lot better........

I made something like that when I was in high school, except, that guy is an artist compared to what I made back then. I could make what he made in a "second" now! My rocket launcher had rockets with "pop-up" stabilizers as it left the end of the tube. I made a "warhead" with home made plastic explosive that could put a hole through a cinder block wall! Man!, the good 'ol days!! I'd be going to jail for a VERY LONG time with that in my possession now-a-days!(...and then!) That was a cool vid to see! Reminds me of my "sicko" youth!

Thanks Rad! I was just recently searching all over the web to see what that rocket launcher is worth, nothing out there! With US national security the way it is now, doesn't surprise me. You can't buy one of those anywhere, and if you could, I'm sure you would be "Black Listed" by Uncle Sam!!

Yeah, I found some videos about it on Youtube and one was HD, it does look amazingly well made for the price! Not real powerful but perfect for my 10 meter indoor range (from the dining room table, through the kitchen and into the garage)

I just bought a used like new one, you won't be disappointed! Very accurate, and construction is top notch Russian. Stock up on extra mags if you can find them, I ordered some from Pyramid Air, and they've been backordered until Jan. 2011.
