No, I am not on that dovetail. That dovetail is practically useless. My rear clamp does grab onto the sides of the yellow plastic molded with that dovetail, but I am not in the dovetail. My front clamp grabs the sides of the long black rail between the front and rear sights. I was originaly going to buy a weaver T0-9 10/22 tip off mount to screw on to it, but I tried this first and it worked. I tried to post a picture last time but it wouldn't take it I will try again.

So you're not on the little dovetail with your BSA?

I have a 30 mm BSA mounted directly to the gun between the front and rear sights. Any red dot with 7/8" weaver type mount can be mounted in the same fashion. Once you tighten the clamps, your red dot it is not going anywere.

Has anyone tried the BSA Red Dot or the Gamo Eletronic .22 Sight? Will they fit the groove without mods? I was thinking about a laser, but I want it to be visible in daylight and don't want to spend a lot. Thanks.
