The domestic violence provision is a federal guideline. In fact, a DV charge of even misdemeanor status will disqualify a person from owning.
Also, certain prescriptions use and mental states will disqualify a person. The catch: these questions are volitional questions with no real checks and balance to confirm what is truth or lies (every person that owns a firearm through FFA paperwork with the former concerns has lied). Medical records are kept private [no] thanks to HIPAA. I feel the records should be cracked for this very purpose. | ||||

Not even possible to enforce; a silly paranoid notion too. Don't forget that many states have individual to individual cash and carry sales guidelines; no possible means of knowing who owns what as there is no record of who has what because the individual is not under FFA guidelines nor is the individual required to provide or obtain paperwork.

The election is over.The conservatives won a majority government. This means the END of the gun registory in the coming months.This is a huge victory for gun owners.Very very seldom do you have a gun law repealed or done away with. GD.

Only the state of New Mexico has absolutely no gun laws, whatsoever. Asside from the federal law that prohibits felons from owning one. And anyone who EVER has had a conviction for anything related to a domestic disturbance call, which sadly is retroactively applied after the fact. This is how they did it to me, over a plea arrangement that gave me a choice of pleading guilty, or death, since I was completely innocent of anything except being assaulted by a cop, and had been charged for that (getting punched in the head by one appearantly constitues felony assault on an officer). They made it clear that THEY felt that they faced liabilty, and that therefore, entitled them to do anything they wanted to, including holding me without bail, for as long as the law allowed them to get me a jury, and informed me that they did this because in there they could settle the suit pre-emptively for a couple of packs of Kools. And they felt justified in doing so, since they reduced the charges to a second degree misdemeanor, which ensured that my second ammendment rights, for which I was prepared to die to deffend, were never going to be affected by that plea. Of course they just waited until the statute of limitations was over, and since I had no other record, they changed the law and fucked me anyway. I knew they would. It was just too rediculous not to be inevitable. Appearantly, if they feel you are innocent, and that they would sue if they were you, they can murder innocent people to avoid liability, that was how it was explained to me by the prosecutor.

It was ruled that the RTKBA was an individual right, not a collective one. It is speculated that this MAY undermine a majority of state laws that restrict firearms in some way, but that is certainly not widespread at this time. With the HMFWBIC we have running the country now, who knows what can happen. UN troops going door to door confiscating firearms is not all that far fetched with that turd in charge, that's why anyone with any sense has been stockpiling ammo and guns since Hussein took office. He's the #1 gun and ammo salesman EVER.

Aren't nearly all these local laws being callenged in court by the NRA and wasn't recently a Supreme court decesion that put an end to these local laws. GD.

Not only that, if you own any high capacity mags, more than 10 rounds, you have to turn them in. No Grandfather clause.

Man, they are alwaystrying to take things away.The socialist party here is very antigun but not everything they do is bad. Health care is one thing that they came up with in the 1960's and it has saved my family ass and mine on numerous occasions but I just can't vote them.We'll see what happens Monday night.

Election here in 4 days.Hopefully the conservatives will win a majority of seats.The Socialist Party (Yes we do have one)is running a close second.The conservatives have promised to end the law requiring everyone to registor their long guns.These are rifles and shotguns+some airguns. We'll see on Monday night. GD.
