COOL! I missed that one! But then again, I've only really renewed my interest in guns in the last year! If I had the bumpfire stock, I could quickly make one for the Ruger (or any gun for that matter!) Maybe I'll have to try!...........hhhhmmmnnn! Let me know when you get it Rad! ---Cam

There infact was a 10/22 full reciprocating stock a few years back. Sadly it was "Too" good for the ATF and was eventually banned. Even the vids are gone.

Agreed. And that stock I will bet good money on that it will be WAY more accurate than any "regular" bump shoot!! Can't wait for your report Rad. An expensive stock, but very, very interesting! ....I might be able to make one of those for the Ruger! ---Cam

You have to remember that the other guys trying it have never bump fired at all before nor have they ever tried this
device. With just a little practice I bet you could stream pretty accurately. | ||||

But semi-auto is pretty weak for surpressing fire. What you want in a combat firefight is a maximum volume of fire, to surpress the bad guys, while your guys advance on their position. Idealy, you need to get someone within hand grenade range, to finish the job. Keep in mind that there is no rule that says surpressing fire cannot also be accurately placed, but it does dictate maximum volume. That's what you need in an abush as well, return as much fire as you can. And the stupid cops take cover, and call for backup. That is so the wrong thing to do, good for them, don't tell them that.

Seems a bit unstable on the latter shooting session. Bad shooter or gun rocking back and forth too much? I could do better than that with AK47, I mean if you loose accuracy you could just as well pump in bullets in semi auto mode and get more hits.

Yep seen that before! You're gonna have fun!!! Just started to bump-fire my Ruger 10/22 this year! Lots of fun with a 50 round mag. Just need to get the fun in before greater than 10 round mags are made illegal (better not!!) ---Cam

I'm not sure how that works, exactly, but I used to build what it basicly a "jailhouse tattoo gun", with a motor with an eccentric cam wheel (shirt button) with an offset hole that the driven wire (needle, if were for tattoos) attaches, so the thing moves back and fourth. I put a loop on the end that goes around the trigger, and tape it on. I wire it to a battery by way of a tactile button to run it, and a small pot to control the speed. It's taped on, so it can come right back off again. The button I like to attach on the top of the handle, so I can reach it with the thumb of my trigger hand. It takes a little getting used to that, but not much. Worked great. But the last one I made I just used the vibration motor from a dead console gamepad, and mounted it straight to the side of the trigger guard, so that the eccentric weight hits the trigger when the motor spins. A pot adjusts, as usual. I made that one to be fired remotely, so room to get my finger in was not a requirement. Motorizing triggers has been a favorite of mine, for when you need more firepower. I have a solenoid that is the perfect size to become something like that, and that's what I have in mind for the soon to be "old" Sergy board, to automate a real gun. I want to mount one on a giant model helicopter with FPV camera.
