Coming out of a Mosin length barrel, its going to do serious damage on anything! Does a hell of a boom like the M38's from my T-53.

No way. Only paper, biograde clay pigeons, or the steel plates they provide. I should have video'd the flock of about 50 quail that was about 70 yards out between me and my 100 yard target. .223 rounds flying over their heads didn't phase themThey either trusted me and my shooting... or.... figured I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn! The Mosin kicks azz, and shoulders and would be very cheap to shoot except one problem. That surplus ammo is steel and not allowed in any of the Nat Forest ranges because it can spark and cause fires. So I've got 440 rounds of "zombie killer" ammo @ $.25 ea to stash away or use in the desert (a 2 hour drive). The stuff that's lead FMJ is more like $.75-1.00 per round.
