Cripskills is also into r/c heliocopters, as am I. I gave you the links to HK, which is where we got those led voltage displays. You know HK, already, Cam. That's where those come from.

Cripskillz, can you post where you got your voltage LED monitor, and what you are using for LiPo's that you put in your Blackbird's stock .... https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-aAIn6YM4PRI/UABnDObYvSI/AAAAAAAACkk/9dOdebWw5yk/s903/IMG_20120711_043616.jpg ---Cam

very nice! Something about the original drozd barrel that I really like. Its way more free and tactical, as well as accurate enough for most the the range its good for.

Ill have to show you my electronics setup its all legit.. heheh and 2000 rpm test like butter couldnt believe it,, just on 14v stock motor..
i have no bottlenecks in my electron flow and actual 20 amps continous,, 40A burst current for 15 sec... way to much im sure but running like a sewing machine now that i put shim in my mag the tightening with my 3 set screws were cramping the bb path.. ;P... got my ICS rom update finally have video cam back | ||||

To fully exploit Sergey's new 2000rpm board's full potential, I run 5 18650's in series, tucked into the stock. I have the Nichibo mag motor mod to reduce airshots (have to have the bb flow, you know). And it took a little bit of adjustment to the solenoid, to optimize the strike, you might have to do that, too, GD. It's a tedious chore, I admit. You need a soldering gun, since you have to desolder and resolder the wires for each subsequent correction. If more power doesn't do it, that's likely what you need to do. I do it with the gun assembled, except for leaving the solenoid cover off, so you can get straight to it, without doing anything else, and don't put that back until you get it right.

GD, It's time to go external on your battery pack. I use the 18650 Trustfire's (2500mAh). I have no problem with those.
Also the LiPo 8000mAh pack I use just NEVER wants to die!! ---Cam

GD, it's a matter of voltage and current batteries can provide. With higher voltage solenoid core is accelerated faster. When batteries can't output eneugh current, solenoid core is "ordered" to start new acceletation cycle before it's back to the initial position. That's what you call "Burr".

You might have just frozen your Co2 tank up. I don't think I have ever come close to 830 shots on the counter of mine, but it'll freeze up, and it's only a 9oz. Co2 is a refridgerant gas, after all, and the tank gets really cold, really quick when you lay into it like that. ice on the tank = no pressure, regadless of how much is remaining.

I think I could have saved you a lot of time if you had said mag motor mod, I thought I covered that pretty well. I tried a bunch of motors, and did lots of research. I have to credit TBK for suggesting the motor that ended up being "the one", although he used it in a mag he built from scratch, as it turned out, it seemed to be "the one" for upgrading the original bb mag. I layed out the entire mod job, and gave all of the data, I even went as far as to develop a simple enough scientific test of auger performance, and a numbers chart to measure it in the best way: comparable and repeatable.
We call this the "Nichibo Motor Mod". I'll try to dig back, and find the old threads again, rather than try starting to do it over. I did GD's mag for him, he loves it, and totalh said he did one for a customer who was dissatisfied with his mag, who also loved it, and mine hums. If you expect to feed 2000rpm, you need something in the mag department. If nothing else, my auger test is great, and easy, clear the mag completely, take out the "ramp" out of the bottom. Put in some bb's, hold it over a container or bucket, and power it on. The auger will now spew bb's out the ramp slot for the 2-1/2 seconds that the mag spins on powerup. Catch them in that bucket, and count them. I use a digital postage scale to count them, it's accurate, and easy. This way, we can compare your mod to mine in a very dependable way, and you can see for yourself how you are doing. If i recall, you need eighty something odd bb's to spew, to feed 2000rpm.
