Yeah, I seen the old man who built this house (and lived out his years and died in it) peeking on me a few times when I first moved in. The vibe I got was that it was surprised that I was aware of it being there, and that was unintentional. It doesn't care about me at all, other than not wanting to bother me, if it can avoid it. I think that it is somehow attached to this house, still.
I think the ghost that fucked with me tonight was an old friend saying goodbye, I hope somewhere we meet again, but we won't in this lifetime. He's gone on to better things, I should think.

I noticed a greasy handprint on the wall, next to one of my "project areas", although I don't usually do that, I just crud around the light switches. This is now also suspect, in retrospect. So I break out the 409 spray, and get a sponge, one with the scrubber on one side, and clean it off. It took surprising effort to remove, actually. So I figure i'll do the light switch, and a couple of other spots. I'm wiping, wiping, with the sponge, after scrubbing with the scrubber side, and on the third wipe, something is appearantly on my sponge, and it leaves a huge black streak across my clean wall. I wash out the sponge real good, and go to it again, with the scrubber. Again, this streak of whatever it is, it doesn't want to come off. When it does, I rinse the sponge, and go in for the sponge side, the wipe up. Again, huge black streak on my wall. Allright, already, i throw the fucking sponge out, and get a clean rag. I spray the streak, and go in to scrub up with my clean rag, and now the biggest, blackest streak yet. QUIT FUCKING WITH ME MOTHERFUCKER, you are dead, get it? Go away, already.
Now that I have had a few minutes, I'll give it that, it was kinda funny....... I know who that is now, an old friend of mine is being taken off life support tonight, I should think that will be over with by now. And he would deffinately have thought that putting shit on my sponge, just to let me know he was there, is very funny. The ghost in my house never fucks with me at all. That makes sense, now. Goodbye, old man.

I lived for a long time in an old place that was haunted as hell. I had the wierdest things happen there. I knocked on my friend's door, and I saw someone come to the door and look through the peephole, and wisper "it's DUBB", like all hush like, but clearly. Then they backed away, and I could hear his dog following behind (nails on the floor). "Well
be like that, then." I said and huffed off, all offended like. Then here comes my friend down the hall, and I asked him, "Well who was that?" He gets all excited like, and runs to his door, appearantly, he doesn't know who it is. We get there, open the door, and there is nobody there but the dog, and no other way out. I seen the creepiest things there, and not just me, people had all kinds of ghost happenings in that place, even 2 of our punk-ass police officers who saw the same "someone" see them, and duck in through the back door. So they come around the front and try to jack me up, since I was the only person in that hallway who it could have possibly been. And when they tell me they saw me duck through the back door to avoid them, I had to tell them that this was impossible. Then the night watchman came, he tells them too. Take these fools to that door at the end of the hall and show them that this is an emgerency only exit. First, it doesnt open, or even have anything to grab onto to open it from the outside, and second, it's wired to the most annoying shreaking alarm ever made, which furthermore, is powered by its own batteries, even in a blackout...... and he opens the door, and the siren does its thing. They looked at each other and the strangest look, this really creeped them out. "HA, you guys look like you just seen a ghost!! someone ducked in through the back door, huh? I dont doubt it, you saw someone go in through the back door, allright, 'through' being the operative word in this case" And at some point I put in "nobody that lives here". Those pricks bailed, and although we had cops [ Continued ] View Rest Of Post

DUBB, you are right on. On the one side there has been something "bad" taking away from me all that is precious. Whether it be money, occupation, friends, opportunities, my health woes from no where. But then there is a balance of something good that has always been there to protect me from what has the intent for the worse for me. When all is getting bad, something stops it from being the worse or what it knows I could never handle. Nothing is random in this world of mine. There is CLEAR intent in both side of the duality of good and evil. The good will not let the bad get the "worst" of its intent. This has been my entire life. I cant control it so I must have faith that the good in the end will result. Any accident is an intentional fact. Any rescue is the same. In between the 2 I must live. So it is with me.

A common occurance is to have an item "misplaced", when I know I know where I put it. Hours of searching around, and around, in circles, including, obviously, where I know I remember putting it, until I just give up. Come back sometime later, and there it is, right where I put it, and exactly the way I remember, it has not been moved. The dead are gone, they have no place to take anything. They are also out of time, here, outside it, somehow, and that's what that is all about. They didn't move my keys anywhere, they somehow moved when they were there. I don't know if that makes sense or not, but it does to me. Sort of a time warp, if you like, that's what ghosts are in essense, in a sense, I mean, they are gone, and can't be here now, so when they manifest, what else do you call that? "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed from form to form"- this tells me that there has to be some kind of timeless component to our personalities, or we would just be statues- that energy that makes us, us.
In your story, Rad, one has to wonder, is this the influence of an energy that is attached to you by love, like a passed friend or relative, possibly trying to make an amens, if not just be helpful when you need it, and it's within their ability, or something else, attached to you because it doesn't like you, and it's messing with your head any way that it can. Either way, it wants you to know that it's there, you felt it's influence, only you can get a feel for it's vibe, it's intentions towards you. With the good kind, you probably wont feel much of anything at all, but the bad ones will give you the creeps. And I believe that one of the things well within the abilities of the former type, is to drive away the latter.

The mind has powerful elements and 80% of our brains that we don't know. You know they for real have a robot device that can perform a function on a paralyzed woman 8 out of 10 times correctly by simply her mental projections. In one case she told it to select a specific object (one of several) and bring it to her. The request- a glass of water that the robot even poured into he mouth as she tilted her head! I DO NOT KID YOU! I hope I live long enugh to see this evolve. Llike the newer cell phone where you can say MCDonalds on 103rd and state line in missouri and the cell brings it right up. Celtics score last night-brings it up.

OoooooWOOOOOOoooooooo, ooooooo (ghost language) That's really cool! You should be tested for clairvoyancey! My mother knows when something is wrong. She tells us about the "dream she had last night" all the time about something that happened to one of us kids in the family. Example: "I had this awful dream that one of you kids started SMOKING, I woke up crying!!" ....High School an me experimenting, and that was like a week after I tried a cigarette!!! Weird! And it goes on and on....

Wild Stuff! I believe as well. TOO MANY things have corresponded exactly to the moment I requested sincere help with a situation or lost item. Following a request I have stood up, gone back to where I had already looked in the same spot and then felt the "PUSH" to pull the bed covers all the way back and there was the item(gold necklace) that Id called and driven all over the places Id been that night. This has happened no rarely just once but almost a weekly, even daily regularity. But the request has to be purely sincere and honest to the powers that BE. Just 5 minutes ago I was frustrated looking for my phone as I have buyers coming this afternoon and they would call to confirm I was home. I stood up, went back to the bedroom and picked up a pair of shorts. I didn't feel the weight so through it back in the hamper. But then I couldn't leave the room and went, was guided back to the hamper and checked the pockets. There it was. This would just make me shake!

According to some of the letters in that book, many didn't know about the curse until after they got home, and it happened. They found out after the fact. "It seems like it all started when we got back from our trip to Hawaii...." till someone asks, "did you bring anything back?" Then they found out. Creepy. And it wasn't just them, it affected everyone around them. Stories of everyone around them telling them to take the rocks back, that they were bad luck, and thats why their freinds figured they were cursed, somehow. I wouldn't know, myself. I lived there, so if I took a rock home, it's not like I was taking it, I was just moving it around, right?
I have heard the same story over and over (and the Puna Police get reports like this from time to time) of an old Hawaiian lady in a red dress hitchhiking late at night. She always wants a cigarette, then asks the people to stop in the middle of nowhere, where she gets out and just disappears. And I mean out in the middle of nowhere, where there is nowhere to go, you know? Thats why the tourists sometimes get concerned, and try to file a report with the Police. She'll never do that to the locals, if I seen a woman in a red dress hichhiking late at night, I'd probably soil myself. No, she never does that to believers, just tourists who just think of it as strange until they tell one of us locals the story, and see our reaction. This one guy who had recently transplanted to Kalapana said he gave her a ride and she told him "The lava is coming, build a fence around your house, if you want to keep it". When he was told who that was, he built the damn fence. I hiked out there, across 7 miles of lava, and found his house. It seems to be in a 30 or 40 foot deep, perfectly square hole, where the lava hit and ate the fence, but that cooled it enough that it diverted it, I shit you not. He was bummed, the house is worthless, now, but he doesnt get any insurance money or anything, since the house technically remai [ Continued ] View Rest Of Post

I wonder how many rocks would be sent back to Pele if they were NOT told there was a curse??? People feed into superstition compounded by stories. Religion is a compound for superstition.

So what happened, Chewie? Was that your problem, the wong brand of 88g "bulb"? Find something that works right, or do you have a real problem?
I used to work as a volenteer firefighter in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where they have an extra "special" post office, dedicated exclusively to handle the thousands of volcano rocks that are mailed there every year. See, despite the fact that it's technically a federal crime to take a rock, people do, anyway. But the rocks are all cursed, by the Hawaiian volcano godess, Pele. She doesn't like it when you steal her rocks. So people are skeptics, until they get home with said rocks, and find out the hard way that Pele, and her curse, are very, very, real. Then they mail them back, with "horror story" letters of their troubles and woes, begging the National Parks Service to go put them back, which they do, a truck goes down every Friday, with the week's returned rocks. But they have this one complaint, though. Nobody has ever sent a "thank you" letter, to let them know if that broke the curse or not, we are left to presume that the absense of further correspondance means that it did. I don't care if you believe in curses or not, it's irrelevant. The fact remains that so many rocks get sent back, that they need a second post office dedicated to handling them, ALL of which were sent by "former" skeptics, who risked federal prosecution for taking them in the first place (and didn't care, their bad luck was far worse than any federal prison would be) for doing so. They don't prosecute anyone for that, though. Generally speaking, Pele puts more than enough hurt on people that take her rocks, that you just have to feel really bad for the poor fools. They sell a book in the gift shop up there, that is a compilation of (selected for the best written, or it would be a HUGE book) letters that came with those rocks, collected over one year. Me and a couple of my buddies got the tallies from the main gate th [ Continued ] View Rest Of Post

Welcome blackbirdChewy! While you're waiting for a different mag, you should try stuffing an O-ring into the leaking one.
When I did this for my Hammerli 850 (which uses the same 88g tank), it took 1/2" ID, 11/16 OD, 3/32 W rings. I guess the same size would work on the Drozd. Your local hardware store should have a wide selection of O-rings, and you can pick up a correct-sized one there. Those hardware-store O-rings are too soft to last very long, but it should get you going for a while. Use A90 Durometer rings for a long-lasting solution. Good luck. | ||||
