Sergey Board -v3 - Drill Hole Locations:
Using the EXACT center of the magazine plug jack hole as a starting reference point, here is where to drill your holes. Think battleship game. And also keep in mind the LCD positions are exact. So mark it down as an outer perimeter guide to use, and instead drill your holes inside this rectangle so you have some extra material in case your a bit crooked, or jagged, or off at first. Plastic is easy and relatively soft to sand and grind down, so no need to be exact from the start, leave some meat for human error, just in case. Ok here goes: FOR THE BUTTON HOLES: Hole #1 - 5mm down, 36mm to the left Hole #2 - 5mm down, 17.5mm to the left Hole #3 - 5mm down, 17.5mm to the right FOR THE LCD SCREEN: Bottom LEFT Corner - 6mm down, 55mm to the right Bottom RIGHT Corner - 6mm down, 77mm to the right Top LEFT Corner - 9mm up, 55mm to the right Top RIGHT Corner - 9mm up, 77mm to the right. Note, the Drozd lower Reciever does have some curved edges, however where you drill, or where a template would sit on it, is fairly perfectly flat so you won't need to compensate any of that for the distances measured above. Again, I own and have one SBv3 board. I did not have a few to compare and reference from, so that is what I have found out. Feel free to independently measure and verify and add your input please if what I have submitted is not matching or working for you. I am trying to out this thread together to make it easier for EVERYONE, future going, if Sergey keeps on printing up the same boards with same dimensions. Hope this helps, until I figure out a better way (if any) I will be using this methodology to plot my points and drill my holes. Gonna do the three buttons first, it's logically easier. Then I will move onto the lcd or more difficult square cut. I also believe others would approach it this way, so I am trying to do this tutorial helper the same order you would do your mod at home. Can't wait to get this installed. But I'm going to not rush things I want to do a good job of it. | ||||
