The rotor is what moves the bbs. I'll try to post pictures of the rotors I have designed. I put a chamfer on the gear teeth to help with that.
The airsoft mags have a good design to minimize space by having the spring inside the gear. That makes it not so easy to make a replacement with a stronger spring. TBK | ||||

If the rotor starts slipping.Does itnot get to the place where it will lock down and start moving the bbs again.Do we really need the rotor?I take it it is some type of safety device so you don't exploded the mag. GD.

We'll 1 hour has gone by trying to send pictures. This is a new computer so everything is new or losted. What is a matter with photobucket. It won't go to login, instead it tries to get me to buy something.I took 2 pictures and tried to find them on my computer. When I did, the folders were empty. This is the reason I so seldom sent pictures and usually it through Sergey. You are right cam about not reading completely your postings on your attempt to get the rotor type mag operating. GD.

Maybe (got to wait for the glue to dry) a major breakthrough in getting the rotor to cycle properly. Here's the problem with the rotor trying to cycle 4.5mm instead of 6mm.It has two parts. The 4.5mm bbs as they cycle. They are fine to they get to where they need to leave the rotor.Because the 4.5 is way shorter or smaller diameter the pin on the rotor loses contact TOO SOON. Many times it will slide over the pin in the rotor and end up pn the top of the rotor or much more important cause a JAM.My ayyack on this problem is two fold. First I drilled a very small hole very close to where the pin on the rotor as just reach it's highest point. I put avery small piece of toothpick through it.This helps somewhat keeping the bbs on course. Now the important part. How do I get the steel bb which is smaller in diameter to stay longer in contact with the point of the rotor. My answer is to MOVE UP the floor of the rotor housing.Put a small nylon tie down in, so the bbs are now much closer to the pin of the rotor and in contact longer.IT WORKS.No more jams.I have to wait a day for the glue to dry but I think it will solve jam issues. There is also a small tie helping the bbs to feed into 4.6-4.7 tubing. It is tight.I have been studing this for the past 2 weeks and spilling bbs everywhere but I think I have made a BREAKTHROUGH. GD.
