Waksabi,
Very clever to make an exact copy of the stock barrel and connect two together. Possibly three? Might be a little bendy. I'm a buyer. (my first post).

im just getting stock type barrels. ALMOST exact reproductions. so i dont get in trouble.
i have to find a good avatar... if you wanted to increase the barrel lenth. you will need 2 stock barrels, and a adapter nut with a breech thread in front. wha laa , a 18 " barrel just like that. if you want to break it down and go back...do so...always have to be able to go back... you see its all part of my master plan...lol

I love my drozd with just a 10" crosman barrel glued on - yes it works fine with just glue! Had to sand down the last 1 1/2" to fit into the end, but my dremel tool did a fine job and now I have better accuracy and higher fps. But have another drozd on the way that will need a barrel, and would love to upgrade to a better quality steel. What lengths are we talking here, or do you just cut it down yourself from a 24" (?) standard? Definitely interested - put me down on the list... Happy Thanksgiving to everyone down south!

i just got back today. on monday i can inquire, we didnt discuss the material. probably we could all agree on a material that will take the rapture.
i think the t314 is stainless. i could be wrong. if it is that isnt the best choice. you got my email ? that avatar is priceless unfortunatley no, i dont have enough time to supply those. i recognize a need for them. eventually we all will need one.

Just wondering whats happening with this. Did you find out what steel would be best? Any plans to "whittle" a small number? I am surprised that so many owners of these guns are content with the stock barrels. As a "sniper" of the almighty empty pop can, I need better accuracy! I want a red dot site! Putting one on my Drozd now would be like putting one on a squirt gun! (yes, I actually USE the single shot mode alot...don't tell anyone!) This gun is the ultimate semi-auto too you know!

i need a camera so you can see his face when i tell him to make up some titanium barrels.
so the barrels have to be able to withstand superman. what is the highest grade of steel T324 or 314?

Sounds great, i'd be interested in what the barrel material would be. I'm in for sure. Still debating the OPP-style/bottle fed adapter, but a good barrel? YES! YES! YES! Sawed a few pop cans in half just last night~man, the Drozd is a sprayer with the stock/short pipe. Not having to take the whole gun apart would be ideal too. (i'm crappy at ANYTHING electrical) I can't even bring myself to add optics with the wait shoots now. Watching this thread closely!!!!

My guess is a high grade steel or stainless. Crosman...well, yeah, we all know about Crosman - so to speak. Not bashing them at all (well, yes I am, I'll admit it), but my new hobby is betting friends on tack-driving at about 8 yards, with the new Crosman Nightstalker (most of them can never come close). Those sights are not made to drive tacks...if you know what I mean. But I can usually do it, however only with heavy round-nose pellets(10.5gr). Back to the main issue here...barrels. Ah barrels. I know if 50 were made, 50 would most likely sell (with time). However, the barrels may not appeal to all. I really like the idea of a barrel which un-threads without gun dissassembly, however. What is the planned length increase for the possible production units by the way? Anyways, Waksabi...I totally forgot to tell you (duh on my part) I'm shipping my magazine to you on Friday (the 25th). Reason I'm waiting, is because I wanted to make sure the Drozd is functional for my brother to shoot on turkey day...as he loves cool toys like me, and he just has to be able to shoot the Drozd Thurs. I figure if I UPS it Friday, it will be there on Saturday, as you live in the 1 day proximity range for shipping (or whoever can ship it the cheapest that day). Happy turkey day as well everyone! (A little early...in case I can't make it back in here by then.)

What are the barrels going to be made of? like what grade of steel? just curious cause my crosman barrels tend to wear after about 10000 rounds.. they then need to be re-threaded...
cheers.. zore | ||||

i dont want to be pushey or turn this fantastic forum into a supermarket.
every third forum thread is about barrels. i believe radical was looking to CNC them for everybody at cost. while i was showing off some lathe work , big RED lol who does our outsource machining, asked if i had larger quanity work. i mentioned barrels and he asked if i had anything drawn up. i told him id model my original. he said to get this done he would do a 50 unit minimum. at about $25 a unit (100 unit price) it would be around $1350 total (cash price). the best part 2 days to fill the order. i think radical was doing this so i dont want to step on any toes. also dont want to push. email me dude 50 barrels should be enough for all, unless the market is underestimated. my barrel is fine. if i need one , i can widdle myself one. i have little extra time, and my girlfreinds gettin pissed. maybe if i set this up some one else can handle distribution. i have to go in for surgery the 6th of dec. so my production will be slowing. im making a bunch of OPPs adapters to cover me until i recover fully. no major interuption. peace out homies...lol
