There isn't much to them. I found the patent for it, which showed what the insides were like, before I took mine apart years ago.
You have to be very careful when putting it back together as the plastic is thin around the screw holes (and not very strong as delysid pointed out) and is a common place for cracks. TBK | ||||

i looked at mine close enough to realize that i would destroy it if i tried to take it apart. the shell is a flash mold plastic and not very strong. if you want to build one of these they are very easy to make.

Has anybody ever torn one of these apart? I had one of these as a kid and when I found this one at an antique store I snapped it up. I took it home and hooked it to my compressor only to find out that someone had put oil in the BB chamber instead of using powdered graphite to lube the BB's so now it doesn't shoot. It looks like I'll have to completely strip it down, clean all the oil out of it and put it back together to get it to work. How big a job is it going to be?
