i used a 4oz steel tank, marketed for the eagle talon i think.
standard paintball tank adapter, tippman 98 bottle adapter mounts to bottom of ppk fairly well. custom 12 gram cartridge with 1/8" threads from "crooked barn" | ||||

Just using the standard 12 gram CO2 cartridge gets around 5-6 usefull clips before you need to replace the CO2 but the first is the most ferocious!!

If you dry fire the gun it will do the runaway thing mainly because when there is no BB to block the CO2 from going down the barrel then not enough CO2 is left to make the slide go all the way back so the slide stop will engage. usually it will only runaway a bit till the slid stop grabs it.
My modded version can do short bursts as desired, just let off of the trigger and it will stop! i have sometimes had the "runaway gun" problem with my ppk conversion, more so on the first one (still uses 12 gram cartridge). and less often on the second mod, which includes a 4 oz. co2 tank. so i suspect that part of the problem is due to lack of air, the slide mechanism needs to move all the way back to reach the trigger lock which engages when you take your finger off the trigger. the same sort of thing happens with the daisy 2k, not enough air-and the slide just bounces back and forth, only traveling half way each time. which will effectively empty your co2 tank completely.

pull th trigger gaurd downward, slide all the way back and up. if i remember correctly the instructions are in the owners manual.

i beleive that a longer barrel would increase power for this gun, im thinking 7-8 inches total length, shrouded by a fake/functional silencer to make it look like it belong on the gun. not sure if this would effect the cycling of the gun. i have not considered changing the springs, that may be a good idea.

Sweet mod, im gona try it on mine, have you had any success on increasing the power? Like puting in a stronger hammer spring or lighten the valve spring?

As I said before, doing this mod will give you a full auto pistol, but it will be a 'run away' gun, the whole mag will go as soon as the slide drops, a 13rd burst every time.

the worlds smallest full auto bb gun. i am sure you have seen this little 13 shot co2 pistol, they are even selling them at walmart now. the gun is very high quality, mostly metal. there are 2 simple modifications needed to convert it to full auto. first-remove the slide assembly, and the silver bar from the right side of gun under the slide, i call this piece the trigger-disconnect, for lack of a better word. file down about 1/8 inch from the top edge of the trigger disconnect so that it will not stop the slide from moving forward after the first shot is fired. second-remove the firing pin from the slide assembly and install 1 or 2 very small washers between the firing pin and the slide, now the firing pin will tap the co2 valve every time the slide moves forward. note: you can replace the c-clip on the firing pin with a stadard e-clip, they are easier to install. re-assemble the slide and you are ready to shoot. the ammo capacity is very low but, the magazines are inexpensive, easy to load and install. for about 50 bucks you can buy 20 extra magazines, load them all in less than 1 minute and all 20 magazines will fit into a shirt pocket, try that with a daisy 2003. this gun does consume a lot of air but, that is easily fixed by installing a paint ball bottle adapter and a 4 oz. bottle.
