I don't know if anyone noticed, but Convert even has an "open" ability, if you happen to have need of a conversion it doesn't cover, it can be manually added, if you provide the peramiters. As a former artilleryman, I prefer to use mils to refer to direction, and made one to convert between mils and degrees, when the need arises. Only artillerymen use the military circle to measure direction. If you don't know why, it's based on the cirumferance of a 2000 meter diameter circle (1000 meters from the center), which is 6400 meters. Therefore, 1 mil at 1000 meters = 1 meter. This way if you know the range to 2 targets, you can accurately measure their distance from each other by the difference in direction from you. This is good info when you are shifting artillery fire.

It's called "convert", and it converts about every kind of measurement between all the standards of measuring it. Convert BAR to PSI, feet to inches, horsepower to kilowatts, even joules to BTU's, and on. I find myself using this more and more, it's something that everyone here should have, for sure.
http://joshmadison.com/software/convert-for-windows/ Try it. It's why I didn't need to ask the relationship of BAR and PSI, or anything else. | ||||
