Our Mod,
can post in the mods forum. I checked and all the settings are correct. Is there anything else we can do to fix this. She has posted in it before but now she cant. :thankyou:

Re: Our Mod,
Hi mamaof2,

Is your mod a moderator of the mods forum? If not, if you've set your mods forum so that only mods and admins can post in there, you need to make your mod a moderator of that forum for them to be able to post

Re: Our Mod,
Thanks Nickdisk. I put her moderating that forum, so hopefully it will work.

Re: Our Mod,
Hi MLCMsMom.When you go into edit users,do you have the following checked for her:"Set Private Forum" Access, and "Set hidden forum viewing ability"?Those two should allow her to post in the forum. If you have that, have her check the date on her computer(including the year) to make sure it is correct.Sometimes that can cause unexplained problems. Can you whisper her name and then an admin can check into it further if the above aren't a problem. We'll get to the bottom of it,lol

Re: Our Mod,
If you can leave links to it (the private forum and any others she should be able to post in and can't) along with whispering the mod's username I will test this out for you.

Re: Our Mod,
I made her a mod of the Mods forum and now she should have no trouble posting. Nickdisk mentioned this in the first reply made to the thread:

If the person is not a mod of any hidden or private forum they will not be able to post in it. Adding her name to the Mod String in the Edit Forum Settings screen doesn't make her a mod-you have to go into edit users, check the name, pull down to Assign Mods in the select menu and then check any forums and powers you want the mod to have.

Re: Our Mod,
I did that I thought, her name was by the forum when I looked yesterday. Oh well I have no idea why she couldnt. Anyway thanks for fixing it.

Re: Our Mod,
As I said above mamaof2, adding her name into the mod string which would display the name by the forum, does not make her a mod of that forum. When I went into Edit Users, checked her name and went to assign mods the box for the mods forum was empty. That is what needed done.
