Member still sees Maintenance Msg.
I'm sorry Pam, this must be my day for problems lol.
I had my board in maintance mode the other day if you remember. It's back online now (has been since Thursday) and working fine (for the majority of us) but one of my members left me this message on another board:

RE: Attn Footsie....still a NO GO !

Footsie when I go to your site, here's what I see: What am I doing wrong? I've cleared history, cookies, etc.

This board/forum is currently in Maintenance Mode. This means that you are unable to view this board/forum until the admin has removed it from Maintenance Mode. Please contact the admin if you believe this board should not be in Maintenance Mode.

I suggested she clear her cache and reboot and she said:

Thanks, but cleared everything there is to clear and still getting same message.

Any other suggestions? TIA

Re: Member still sees Maintenance Msg.
Hi FootsieBear,

I logged in as that member and saw the board just as it is now with no message other then the pop up one that states you have to register now. I was afraid maybe I would see it in Maintenance Mode, but it didn't happen to me. I am thinking it might be something else.

Have them to go the internet explorer Tools Menu and in there Internet Options. What we're looking for is the Internet files "Settings" button after the Delete Cookies and Delete Files button. Have them click on that and see if they have it set to 'Every Time you Visit the Page', 'Never', 'Every Time You Start Up IE' or 'Automatically'.

I would recommend they set it to automatically and try accessing the board again. It definitely sounds like a browser cahcing issue, so hopefully this will take care of it for them. Don't worry about posting about things that are going awry FootsieBear, that's what we're here for.

Re: Member still sees Maintenance Msg.
You could ask them to hold the shift key while they press the refresh button. That'll force the browser to look on the site rather than in the cache for your page.
