Flooding
One of our users, reddog, is unable to post due to "flood control" being enabled, regardless of how long he waits between posts - even up to several hours.

Is there any way to take care of that?

You can e-mail me at IdahoStatesman.com - my e-mail username is nlogan, so put the @ between those two, and you're set (yes, trying to avoid SPAM).

Thanks,
nate

Re: Flooding
I'm having the same problem and I hadn't even made a post. I've had people mention to me that the clocks are off and the unread icons aren't showing up for new responses and not disappearing for read ones.

Re: Flooding
I don't know why the flood control would prevent them from being able to post, what browser is he using and what version? As for the time being off I haven't see this happening yet but we're keeping a watch for it now that it's been mentioned, however this is the first I have heard about unread icons not going away and not appearing. Where is this happening? What board? Any particular threads this seems to be happening with?

Re: Flooding
I disabled the Flood control completely. I was able to post after doing that. BTW this is Squidwardd from the Square Board. It's been turned into a Cars board now. I and Bigfan noticed that when we've posted the dates are a day ahead. Another thing I noticed is we gave a custom title to someone that was banned and it did not show up.

Re: Flooding
I'm unable to reproduce this flood control problem, on the Idaho Statesman board at least.

When has the time been off Chick_Peep_Des? If you can give me the BID and times it was off that will help. The server time setting is correct right now so maybe it's only a spuradic problem and knowing the time will help BbBoy to track the problem if there is one.

Re: Flooding
This is the thread when it was first brought to my attention. My response was posted on the 3rd but it posted the time as the 4th. And that custom title we gave the person that got banned isn't showing up.

Re: Flooding
When you go into the admin center and look at the user's title is it showing up there in the assign title screen? Also this thread you linked, when was it posted? On the second? Or the third? Because it shows it as the third and I don't see the time as being off on the board here or there Chick_Peep_Des. Any insight you can help offer into this matter is greatly appreciated.

Re: Flooding
Well one of my admins banned him and gave him the title. I deleted his name before checking to see if the title had worked. Now no title is showing up under his name at all not even the ones that are automatic.

As for the time I posted my response on the 3rd. Here's where I'm talking about. I circled it. It's not such a big issue for me. More of an annoyance but since my members mentioned it I figured I'd bring it up.

Re: Flooding
I don't see what you're seeing so it's definitely the user setting...I see this there:

Re: Flooding
So that means it's definitely in the Edit Settings screen and the date is some how being affected. I am confused as to what else it could be unless it's the user setting because I see the third as the date. Color me confused.

Re: Flooding
Wow I don't know. I haven't messed with the settings and I wouldn't have noticed but it was mentioned to me by Big Fan who's in England. I'm in the States so it's a rather spread out problem if it's happening to him too. I'm going to move this thread to our announcement forum and ask the other members if they are having trouble too. I'm going to send you a PM about a few other things too.

Re: Flooding
BbAdmin is what I go by most of the time unless I have to actually post somewhere like I had to today, so use BbAdmin to send BbStuff to. I use it daily.
