Please don't put your password in posts.

You can copy and paste it into the "password" box, then change your password when you're logged in. You don't have to hand-type it.

:biggrin:I just registered today. I went to my email to see what my password was, then came back to sign in, and I kept being told that my password was incorrect. I went back to check it and make sure that I was typing it correctly, which I was, and I was still being told that my password is incorrect. What do I do?

Re: Problems logging in?
Try copying and pasting it instead of re-typing it. Or make sure that the letters aren't numbers etc, fo example a O (letter) looks a lot like a 0 (number). And remember they're case sensitive.

Try just copying and pasting it in-sometimes 0 and O look alike and if it is the wrong number letter combo or miscapitalized it will not recognize it.

But not i can't log in it at all, soon as i log under ElizabethGKC and put the pass then click to log in it goes white.. What's the cause of this? And neither brower can log in. My other computer same browers can't seem to log as well the same thing happends. Had a guild member try for me and they had the same problem. I just can't log under that name. Help?

Since all this started it's been on the same computer..but not the one I normally use .that one is going to the shop.
The one I'm using and having all the trouble with is one of those small i-PAQS home appliances..it does accept cookies so I don't know why I don't stay logged in.

When I first log in it accepts it but when I leave that page it's gone again....I have gone through the tut you have and have tried everything.

Please don't post your actual password. It makes it really easy for anyone to take it over. Try using that O as a 0 or maybe copy and paste it directly from the email into the log in box. Try that and see if it does the trick for you-it is my guess that the O is a 0 meaning the number 0 rather then the captial O you seem to have tried to use.

If that isn't it post again but don't repost your password ok?

Hey there,

Did not see where to start new thread...

I have been a member of a board approx 1 month, no problems.

But now when I attempt to login the 'box' goes blank and...nothing. No error, no.......nothing.

Tried at work and home, no go. Checked the cookies, OK, is accepting...

???? what now ????

I note the problem when logging in using frames within IE6.

Do you happen to know why this happens? Is there a way round it (perhaps using javascript in the parent document)?

It would be extremely useful to be able to use the board within frames.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Problems logging in?
Yup, the reason it happens is explained in the thread I posted a link to in my last post ( http://bb.bbboy.net/support-viewthread?forum=1&thread=381 )

You could try writing some javascript that checks the browser that's being used, and if it's IE6, redirects to the actual board url.

Re: Problems logging in?
The moderator of the Coronation Tap Board (CaptainCori) has a problem logging in.

Clicking on the "Log in" link does nothing (no log in window ... no nothing)

She has checked that she has javascript enabled. She does not knowingly have any anti-pop-up software installed.

Any other ideas as to what might be wrong?

(I myself have no problem logging in so it must be a PC problem rather than a board problem I guess)

I see it showed another person there-if you are logging in here you should be logged in there too. Have you intentionally removed the top links Mystical Knight?

dj punisher,

Are you copying and pasting the password, or typing it? If you're typing it, make sure that it's exactly correct, for example a O (letter O) looks a lot like a 0 (number 0). If you're copying & pasting it, make sure you don't have a space or punctuation in there with it.

Guest,

You mentioned you just downloaded IE6 critical updates. Is it possible that in this time, it adjusted your security/cookie settings? Have a look ion your Tools->Internet options to see if anything's too high.

But then you did say you just installed IE6 updates. Do you have a list of exactly what those updates included? Is there a way to get rid of those again?

I don't know how to find or even figure out what happened during those updates, I have more that I am supposed to download (they keep flashing in my taskbar) I am almost tempted to do it and see if it fixes the problem!

When I try to log in (index page) , I type my username/password in the window that comes up, then I hit the enter/submit button and the index page reloads, without my name showing up in the top bar with the list of people who are currently in the forum.
Each time I re-log my info in it does the exact same thing. No error message, I just don't exsist!!
