Re: User CP
Well,if me or any of my members try and go to our usercp's it says you must be registered (which we are),so we click log in (tho we already are) and when you enter your log in info,a blank screen comes up.Thats it.

Re: User CP
Another question...why inside my forums where it says who last replied and at what time,is the writing so scrunched up? How do I fix that?

Re: User CP
When you're having the problem with your User CP, what's the URL in your address bar? :smile:

Scrunched up vertically or horizontally? :smile: For more line spacing, you can use the CSS:

.threadlist {line-height:13px;}

:smile: Change 13px to the number you want.

Re: User CP
The actual URL when you view the user cp, not your board url. :smile: They should be different in 2 places..

Re: User CP
Nope,that didnt work.Its the writing when you click into a forum and see "thread started by" ect.The words are sitting on each others heads just in those 2 boxes.

Re: User CP
Did you change the number to something higher? :smile: I believe 13px is the default, what wouold be already there. Something like this in your header (not CSS box) should do it:

Code:

<style type=text/css>
.threadlist {line-height:17px;}
</style>

OK, could you give me a screenshot of you trying to get into your User CP? :smile:

Does it not even show the link to click on "User CP"?

Re: User CP
When I click (or anyone else) on my user cp-this is the screen I get

This board has the Member Screening option turned on. This means that:

You must be a registered member of Best Boards. If you are not, you can register >here.
Your membership at this board must be approved by an admin of the board.
You must be logged in to your account.
method=post>

So then I go log in (tho I am already) and it gives me the log in screen,so i enter my username and password and it gives me a blank screen.We all have cookies abled,so I dont know why this is happening.

Re: User CP
Its the MBA screen BbBoy. :wink:

http://bb.bbboy.net/html/memberscreening.shtml?pajamamamas

Did you create the board Paprika? And if so did you intentionally enable the MBA Membership Screening tool?

Re: User CP
Sorry Paprika, I was winking at BbBoy because I knew what screen it was. :smile: Not sure. You should be able to get into your user CP even if the MBA is on...Are your members logged in when they try to load your board?

Because it was off MBA just now I was able to go in and see it and load my User CP. It loaded normally for me and had the same URL you would expect it to:

http://edit.bbboy.net/pajamamamas-usercp?

Are you still having trouble with this?

Re: User CP
Im so frustrated.I want my board to be private,but when I put it on MBA,no one can access thier usercps still and they have to apply every time they try and come in.So I took it off MBA,and now they can get in fine,and use there usercp fine,but now we are filled with lurkers! This will be a very private board like my ****** is,and its important we keep it private due to the personal nature of our topics,what can I do?

Re: User CP
Nope, it seemed to work ok for me, and you didn't provide a screenshot yet........ :smile:

You could make all of your forums private, and only let in people who you want. That would make it sort-of MBA, but they can view the main board page, but not the forums..

Re: User CP
Im sorry,I dont know what a screenshot means,I thought when I cut and pasted what I saw when I tried to acess my usercp that was what you meant.When anyone tries to go from my board to there usercp they get the MBA screen.

Re: User CP
You should have a 'Print Screen' on the keypad to the right of your letter keys. It would be the key after F12-up top level. Hit that one once while looking at something you want to share with someone and go into the Start>Programs>Accessories>Paint

After the paint program loads go to edit and select paste-it might say, "The bitmap is larger then what you have-would you like to enlarge bitmap?" with a yes or no, click yes and it will show you whatever was on your screen at that moment you hit the "Print Screen" key. :smile:

Re: User CP
Hi Roadster,

are you logging into it from here? If not what board URL are you having trouble seeing the links in the buttons on? It sounds like they have the text color either grey or something is strange about the input boxes or something-I'll gladly go take a look and if I can help resolve that color issue that is no problem. They should look like grey boxes with black text-that is the default and if someone changes their board text color and even the input field color it can definitely affect the way those links on the buttons look. :smile:

Re: User CP
I've readminned you and we're taking a look at the CP issue-it should be readable like the Admin Center is. Black buttons and light grey/blue text. Bear with us Roadster, we'll get that settled soon. :smile: Should NOT be like that though and I appreciate you taking time to report it. :smile:

Re: User CP
I agree, it is better to keep your members on your board rather then sending them elsewhere to adjust User CP settings because they can't see them on your board. We must have some conflicting code somewhere or something and BbBoy is checking it out, so you will see the User CP buttons/links appear like the admin center buttons/links once it's been fixed Roadster. :biggrin:
