++++++++++++++++++++++++ V1.3.5 has just been released tonight. Here's a run-down of new features and improvements: + BbChat ++++++++++++++++++++++++ [ This option is available to fixed/variable plan admins only, due to the amount of bandwidth it takes up. If you're free, and want to upgrade, click here. ] Admins, you now have the option of adding a chat room to your board. Click on "BbChat" in your admin center to set it up. Please note that this is a "first draft" of the chat. There are many options to be added to it in future releases. + Parent Forum ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, you can now specify certain forums to be "parent" forums. This is designed to make using subforums easier. You can have the option of adding the last post of a forum's subforums onto the main page, as well as number of posts/replies, and the "unread" marker. Click on "Edit Forums", then "Edit Settings" in your admin center to enable this option on a forum. + Profile Enhancements ++++++++++++++++++++++++ You now have more options in your User CP for your public profile. You can add your favourite web sites, boards, IMs, and make some custom fields to tell people more about you. These will all be displayed in your public profile. In addition, your picture (avatar), online status, and your current mood is now shown in your profile. To stop this information being shown in your profile, enable the "Unavailable" option in your User CP settings. + Default Signature ++++++++++++++++++++++++ You now have the option of selecting a default signature, which will be automatically selected when you make a post. Click on "User CP", then "Edit Sigs". + FillText ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, you can no specify "FillText" spaces for you and your mods to use. When you add a FillText, you will then be able to choose it from a drop-down menu when adding a post. The text will be automatically added to the text box. This is useful for things which you frequently repeat, now you don't have to type it again and again. Click on "FillText" in your admin center. + MouseOver Effects ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, you now have more options in your "Easy Customization" screen. There are options for highlight, as well as link style and color for MouseOvers. There's also the added option of using a logo that will be displayed at the top of your board/forum. + Basic Admin Mode ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, you now have an option of switching to "Basic" mode in your admin center. This will list only the most often used buttons, and a short description. All new boards will be in basic mode by default. + Processing Screens ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Admins, you now have more options for displaying Processing Screens. You can choose to not display them at all, only display them when there is a fatal error (something went wrong), warnings/informational, and you can still display all. The recommended option is "fatal". + Cookieless Login ++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you're having problems logging in normally, try checking the "Cookieless login" box when you log in. + Reset BbGame ++++++++++++++++++++++++ Players in a BbGame can now reset it themselves rather than an admin having to do it. There's a "reset" link at the bottom of each game, if you are currently playing. + Minor Enhancements ++++++++++++++++++++++++ + You can no longer un-admin yourself. + PM notices on azure fixed. + You now have the option of deleting a buddy from your list. + Checking the box in "Edit Board Settings" allows moderators to see whispers as well as admins. |
