We will soon be announcing new board plans to new customers. This means that you pay a set amount each month, and have a set amount of bandwidth available for your board. For some users this is preferable, as it allows you to budget precisely for your board's cost. With these new plans, we will also be limiting the number of boards hosted per server, to allow quicker page loads, and generally a better service.
All of these plans have no adverts, banners or popups.
If you require more bandwidth than your plan provides, and you don't wish to upgrade your plan, you can purchase extra bandwidth for $4/GB/month. If you need more bandwidth than any of those plans provide, you may want to take a look at our Dedicated Servers, which can be found elsewhere in this forum.
We will limit the number of boards which are put on each server using the ratio count. The maximum total ratio count for a server is 25. This means that each server will hold 25 "Low Use" boards, about 12 "Medium Use" boards, about 8 "High Use" boards, or 5 "Heavy Use" boards. This makes sure that all servers are running extremely quickly, and no server is ever overloaded.
This is a very drastic improvement from our existing servers, which hold thousands of boards each.
These new plans will be available to new customers via our home page shortly. However, we'd like to give our existing customers the first opportunity to switch to one of these plans. Please note that you will never be forced to switch to one of these plans if you don't wish to. You can stick with the old price structure (Variable/Fixed plan), for as long as your board is with us, if you don't want to upgrade.
If you already have a board with us, and would like to move to a new server with a maximum of 24 other boards, please fill out the below form.
Please consult the table above for plan details. Note that your board will only be able to use a set amount of bandwidth per month, as shown.
Your board will be moved in a schedule. Demand is expected to be high, so there may be a slight queue in the initial stages. This is why we're giving existing customers the first chance to move. If you already have some credit in your existing board and wish to move using that credit, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we can arrange that for you.
If you have any questions about these new plans, please feel free to post in the Tech Support forum, or e-mail email@example.com.
