Hi! I posted a problem with polls on our board a while back.http://bb.bbboy.net/support-viewthread?forum=1&thread=4589
It was never resolved. But, now I have more "data" to give you regarding starting polls.
My board is set up to be a "private" board, that is, you cannot view teh forums unless you are on our access list. So, the setting are as follows:
Who can start new threads? - Members of this board, mods, and admin
Who can start polls? - Members of this board, mods, and admin
Who can reply to existing threads? - Members of this board, mods, and admin
Who can view this forum & the threads in it? - Specified users, mods and admin.
A member that has been granted access to the private board can see the forum, start threads, and reply to threads. However, they cannot start polls or respond to polls. Only mods and admin can start polls or respond to polls. If a specified user tries to start or respond to a poll, they get the "You must have higher authority" message.
However if I change the forum access to:
Who can view this forum & the threads in it? - Members of this board, mods, and admin.
and leave the rest exactly as they are, then all of my members can start and respond to polls.
Thanks for you help. Board URL
