Move Forum from one Board to another ( 01:31:38 TueApr 23 2002 )

Hi
I am trying to move a forum from one board to another. We had a band under our entertainment heading and now they have their own board on this system and I'd like to move the thread from the old forum to the new board.
I tried to Adopt their forum and then combine but no go.
Any ideas?

Ok a forum or a thread?

If it's a thread then you should see a option to Board-Move in the Mod Options pull down in the thread itself and once you select that it will prompt you to:

Please enter the Board ID of the board you wish to move this thread to:
Please enter the forum number on that board you wish to move this thread to:

Here you would enter the board ID and then the forum number you want to move the thread to.

A forum adoption would be a way to 'move' a forum-but it would still remain on the original board-you can see a example of this in the Board showcase forum here on the Support board as the top Forum hasa [A] next to it to indicate it's a adopted forum.

I poked around and figured it out. Now just wanna know how to "Copy" some threads from one to the other so they both show up on each board.

I bet if you post like a multi-post, make it in two forums-then move one to the other board-then you could have two identical topic opening posts-however each would be different once different users replied.

**hope that made sense**

I had to go test it out before I could make sure that you couldn't move a forum besides adopting...
