making a registered user a member of a board ( 22:35:41 WedMar 10 2004 )

Board Plan: Free Trial

I looked, but could not find a thread with this issue.

How does a registered user become a member of my board?

They can log into my board but there is no "join board" type functionality, that we can find.

I have the system set to Auto member on reg, but is an existing member.

I probably just missed some setting.

Thanks.

ah i see why...you have your settings for people who can post set for only mods and admin. If you want to allow people who are already registered to post you need to go to your admin area> edit forums> pick the forum and in the drop down box pick edit settings. On the next page toward the bottom you will see a set of 4 drop down boxes. This is where you set who can post in the forum. Users will allow any one registed.

Thats helps, but how can they get added to the memberlist?

UserX can post and such now as a user, but I can't make them a mod unless they are a member of my list.

Or am I incorrect?

Thanks.

Once they posted that should add them to the member list. If they posted that should have added them to the member list. Can you whisper the username so I can take a look?
