logging out problem ( 20:55:04 MonMar 22 2004 )

Board Plan: Fixed

Hi, one of my users asked this question and I don't know the answer. Any advice?

'How come when i try to log out, sometimes i have to log out 4 or 5 times before i am finally logged out. This can be frustrating as i use a public computer and i'm sure one day i won't have time to log out as i have to keep checking it and people want to use the computer! '

Re: logging out problem ( 03:59:13 TueMar 23 2004 )

Hi anne123456,

I am betting it is the computer's browser settings. He is probably seeing cached versions of pages so he needs to go to Tools-Options and in there adjust the 'Temporary Internet Files' Settings button. If the setting is not automatically or every visit for how frequently the browser checks for newer versions of pages I would advise him to do that, enable it for autmoatically or every visit. Also a pop up blocker would definitely conflict with logging out.
