Auto-Archive ( 01:13:34 SatFeb 16 2002 )

I did an auto-cron and chose auto archive. I had also created a regular archive forum on my board, so that I could go back and find an old topic. I went into that forum today, there are only two pages, when there should be like 10. But since I had asked for auto-archive, that only makes sense...so, I go to my admin, and I click on Archive...there are only two topics in there. Which means, all my topics from my ****** are gone. I didn't think having them auto-archived would delete them. Is there any way to get them back?

Have you tried the 'Trashcan' button yet BlackSparrow? Go into the Board Admin center and then on the right under security you should see 'Trashcan' and I just tested mine-deleted threads and they appeared IN this 'Trashcan' screen with the option to 'Restore' so if they are in there you can restore them yourself.

If you don't find them there-we'll have to wait for BbBoy to see what happened on the back end-I think you might find them in the Trashcan though so let me know what you find so BbBoy can go from there if we have to in the morning when he is back on. Ok? :smile:

I don't think the Archiver is supposed to delete them either so I am sure BbBoy will help you find them if something happened and they did NOT go into the trashcan.

I have two items in the trashcan that I deleted just today... yeah that was the second place I checked! So I guess I'll have to wait for him. Because either I need glasses, or the posts are gone. :sad:

Hmm, interesting bug. The threads were still in the Archive, but they just weren't shoing up. I've fixed your archive for you - I'm looking into why it happened now.... :smile:

Yes it is soothing! I really am impressed with the new look of your board BlackSparrow!

And because we know how it feels to be ignored on help boards we will always do our very best to try to find out what is giving anyone a problem and fix it! Might take a week or two to pinpoint like this mark read bug-but I think we got that one squashed thanks to the information you gave BbBoy! :thumb:

Don't ever hesistate to post aboug bugs or problems-that is what the Support board is here for! :wink:
