Forum Adoption vs. "Board Move". ( 12:44:43 ThuNov 4 2004 )

I am needing information on Forum Adoption. Is that more like "sharing", meaning that forum and all posts old and new will exist in both places?

But, if I did a "board move" of threads, that would remove the "link" between the two boards, correct and the threads from the originating board could be deleted on the original board, but remain intact on the new board?

Hi supersunshine

The 'Adopt Forum' feature lets you adopt a forum from another board. Adopting a forum means to display a forum from another board onto your main page, to blend in with your own forums. When you adopt a forum from another board, it is still owned by that board. So once they click on the link to view the forum, they're not on your board any more, but on the adopted forum's board.
