Ahh, looks like it did actually save them, it just didn't re-check the box, and re-select the right option from the pull-down menu when you viewed that page again. Should be good now :smile:

everything seems to be going good.... I am sooooo tired lol. it's 3:48 am where I am.... I need to go to bed lol. *yawns* ....... Hopefully when I come back tomarrow all my stuff will still work lol

If you haven't seen my board yet (even if you have) you will notice theres like no one there at all lol.... only becase I haven't put the link to my boards on my web site yet. I just made all this 2 days ago :tongue:

How come when ever I delete a thread it still says it's there on the main page? it also says that BbBoy was the last to post in the general section but I took that post out too because I am planning to make a "testing" forum.....

also I have NO IDEA how to use css lol and I was wondering...... I love everything about my board except the white background and I wanted the backgound that is white now to be this color: #E6E6FA

if I tryed to make this small change myself I would mess up the whole board lol.... unless you did it or talked me through it.... ? :wink:

Ag, I meant to make it so that it'd always take the last poster even when it was deleted a bit ago, but never got round to it. :smile:

I'll do it for the next release. :smile:

You don't need to use CSS at all - just click on "Easy Customization" in your admin center. :smile:

Although, if you're only using it for the background colour, make sure to check the "dont' clobber" box, or it'll get rid of all your existing CSS. :smile:

Or just choose the colours you want on Easy Customization, and do clobber the CSS. :smile:

So if I hit "don't cobbler" that means it will only change the ONE thing I want changed? And not mess my board up?? hehe like I did last night lol...... :rotflmao:

that sucked hehe but i fixed it because I have my css code saved on my hard drive just in case. :rotflmao:

Yup!

Or you coudl just go through the CSS, and look for somethign like:

and change it to:

Can html be used in the news fader?

Also... I tryed that check the "cobble" box in the easy customizations... and it didn't change it to the background color I wanted.... (and I did select the color)

Yup, ,you can use HTML in the news fader, though it's recommended to use BbCode & smileys :smile:

Ah, did you check the "Enable Easy customization" box? If you didn't check that, then it wouldn't be enabled, so none of it would work :smile:

Ok now I got my colors right.... kinda.... ok if you go to my board and click into a post of mine.... you see that where I have my message the background is white..... How do I change that color?

Without using Easy Customization (which would be the easiest way to customize all colours and everything), and if you're using CSS, look for something like:

Code:

.thread0{background:#ffffff;}
.thread1{background:#ffffff;}

Just change the #ffffff's to the colours you want. :smile:

.thread0 and .thread1 alternate, so you can have one post one colour, and the next post in another, or just have both the same. :smile:

If you're not familiar with CSS, I'd say to go the Easy Customization route though :smile:

In Easy Customization, it's under "Alternate Thread BG Color #1" & 2. :smile:

Also... when a guest comes into the boards and you see that he is there... it says "guest" then numbers after the word guest.... are the #s his/her ip?
