+ New Features Update
V1.4.2 has just been released today. Here's a run-down of new features and improvements:
Admins, you can now assign "Assistant" users. This enables you to:
- Give certain users administration access to only specific parts of your Admin Center (for example, just
editing the board template)
- "Expire" the assistant after a set number of days. For example, you could set up the Assistant to be able to manage your board while you go on holiday, and it would automatically revoke their powers once you come back.
- Assign an existing mod to be an Assistant. The mod powers will work alongside the Assistant powers - so you could give a user mod powers, plus the Assistant ability of editing the board template, for example.
+ Sink Thread
"Sinking" a thread is the opposite of bumping a thread. Instead of going to the top of the forum, it goes about 10 places downwards.
+ User File Hosting
Users, you can now have a small amount of space on our servers to host avatars, sig images etc. Click on "User File Hosting"
in your User CP, or visit http://files.bbboy.net

+ Community Calendar
The "Community Calendar" feature will allow users to add events (if you allow them to) on specific days, and it will automatically show all members of the board's birthday. Admins, to enable this feature, click on "Edit Board Settings" in your Admin
Center, and check the Calendar box under "Feature Pages". You can also specify which groups of people are allowed to post events to the Calendar in the same area.
+ Anonymous Forum
Admins, you can now specify certain forums as "Anonymous". This means that the users names will not be shown by their posts in that forum. It's not recommended to enable this for most forums obviously, but it may be useful if you want a "Feedback"/"Guestbook" forum where users are anonymous.
+ Quick Reply Additions
There is now a check box for including your Default Sig and a link to the board's images over the "Quick-Reply" box, if it's
enabled. Admins, you can now also specify an image for the "Quick Reply" button if you wish, in "Edit Images".
+ User Enhancements
Admins, you can now just ban a user from posting in specific forums. They will still be able to view it (as opposed to the regular "Ban" feature), just not post. You can now also specify certain users to have "HTML" ability in their posts.
+ Masked URL
Admins, you can now specify that URLs posted in certain forums will be "Masked". This means that a redirect will be put in place, and anyone checking their logs on the linked web site won't be able to see the referer.
+ Replies Per Thread
Admins, you can now set a maximum number of replies each thread in a forum can have. After that limit is reached in a thread, it won't be able to receive more replies.
+ New Themes
Admins, there have been a lot more new themes added in this release. Click on "Themes" in your Admin Center to see the new ones.
+ Recurring Payments
Through popular request, we now accept payments recurringly. Meaning that you can automatically pay a certain amount every month, 3 months, 6 months or year, and never have to worry about your payments again. We also now offer recurring donations for boards. All recurring payments are instant
- your board will be upgraded the second the payment is made.
+ Other Enhancements
+ User Levels are now editable.
+ You can now specify the polls to be above or below the post.
+ BbCodes are alphabetized.
+ You can now preview the Welcome Letter.
