Ican't open my PM inbox or My Nest .Went i click on them it saWe'd love have you join us. Register and login to perform this actionOn the popups.I login and it say HI-glad to have you here. And i click on my name it say Welcome to Best Boards. It's____username -----password click login . It's say Error 404 (not found) The document you requested does not exist on this server.
help me open them on Hen House Freebies Thanks'

lisa, you're not logged in currently. :smile:

It sounds to me as though you are using the "ccokieless" login - try the normal login instead. The "cookieless" login only works if you want to stay at ONE board - you will get logged out immediately you try to access another board. :smile:

Hi,BbAdminMod.Lisa831 is from my board and I couldn't figure out what to do so sent her here.Just 1 question,she says she can see usercp(or on our board,it's My Nest).If she wasn't logged in,she wouldn't see that would she?Thanks for your help.

Yes, she would see the UserCP link (while logged in), but as soon as she clicked on that link, she would get logged out, as the User CP info is kept at edit.bbboy.net and therefore the logout mechanism would kick in. :smile:

Hi lisa831,

you will have trouble getting into your User CP with the cookieless log in. I was in the database and saw you had no email style selected so I have selected text for you and resent your password. Try logging in the regular way and see if that doesn't take care of your trouble. If it doesn't leave your browser info-type and what version you use and we can try to see if there is something we can do. Also if you have a firewall, or are on a LAN it might complicate your log in.

lisa, you must have logged in successfully before, in order to see your User CP at all. :smile:

Please try to log in at this board, and don't click the "cookieless" login box, OK? It sounds as though you did that before, right?

The information about your browser can be found by clicking on the line of links at the top of the browser window, where it says "File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, Help. Click on the Help link and then click "About" (it's at the bottom of the list). That will tell you what browser and version you are using. :smile:

I just noticed something you said in your first post here - you said:

If you click on your name where it says "Welcome, lisa831, it will log you out, so don't click on your name. Maybe that has been the trouble all along?

I login at this board- didn't click on cookieless, it say login close window to cont, did that and same thing.
It say i'm login now but don't see my name on user
in this forum. Igot and e-mail click on it and same thing again.
Brower info: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5
Version: 5.002614.3500 (Uudate Information)
Iwent to Freebie Garden it has my name as lisa8 could that be the promblem. :sad:

I have seen several lisa names on that board actually. Not sure if it was you and you'd accidentally hit submit more then once. But regardless of that-the one name you're trying to get into now-when you log in here-DO NOT close the box ok? The Log in box will automatically close and THEN you will be logged in when the screen auto-refreshes-that might be what the trouble is because if you try to close that box before the screen is refreshing then you will not be logged in. Try that and see if that doesn't take care of it for you lissa. If not let us know what happened when you clicked the log in button on the box-does it go black and sit there? OR does it say, Logged in, close this box to continue, go black and then closes on its own and the screen you logged in from refresh itself as well? :smile:

Pamster, I login it say your login glad to have you the goes white and close by it self ,Yes the page refreshes it self, tonight I login and it doesn't show my name and can't get in to anything. But it say I'm login. Can I Register again with this name or something else. Thaank for your all help!

lisa831, I was able to reproduce exactly what you have described. What you are doing is checking the "Cookieless Login" box and this is causing all your problems. We did mention this before, but perhaps you didn't quite understand. :smile:

Don't check that box - just enter your name and password and click the login button.

What has been happening is that you logged in at the board with the cookieless login and as soon as you attempted to access your User CP, you got logged out and got trapped in a never-ending cycle of login pages.

I note that you have recently installed a new hard drive on your computer. This should not cause any problems as long as you log in using the normal login procedure and allow a cookie to be set on your computer. Once you've done that, don't log out. Try this again at this board and see if that fixes the problem for you. :smile:

Now, please lisa, will you try and log in at this board the way I've explained it to you above and then post here again once you've done that. :smile:

I know you CAN log in because you've actually posted 8 times at the chickenlady's board and you were logged in at the time (though using the cookieless login I'm certain!) :smile:

One more thing - please read this thread very carefully, especially the part about cookies (do the cookie check) and make sure that (a) you have javascript enabled in your browser and (b) that you are not using a popup killer. :smile:

I login into this board like you say, it say login glad to have you, Wwent to the cookies part say No Cookies. then went to tools and enable cookies and went to Java console enables(requires restarts). I'm not logout went going to other sites. I went to Restricted Sites it on high and say cookies disables on high, which do i sit it on high,medium,mediun-low,low. THANKS! :wave:
