I found Best Boards January 6th 2002. Little did I know then Best Boards was just born so to speak. I was very unhappy with the board service I had at the time. The server was always going down and the support was just awful! You were lucky if you even got a response. Most of the time we had to rely on other members to get our issues resolved. Needless to say I was always searching the search engines for free hosted message boards, I must have tried about every one listed. One day I was lucky enough to find a link for Best Boards. Holy smokes! I couldn't believe the features it had and the support was awesome!! the first time I made a thread in the support forum it was answered almost instantaneously. I was so ecstatic I wanted to crawl through the monitor and kiss the support staff!
One of my most favorite features is multiple signatures, that is one feature I have never seen on any other board. I'm also addicted to emoticons and am so thankful I can use as many as I want and whichever ones I want. There are so many features here that I love, it would take me all day to list them all and tell you what I like about each one. Every free board usually has an on board banner as well as pop-ups, I was actually surprised at how few Best Boards had! The last board service I was at they had so many it would freeze my computer all the time....talk about irritating! I decided to check into the prices for the different paid plans and was shocked at how cheap it was, I almost felt like I was ripping them off!!
How could they offer such wonderful support, fabulous features and at such a low price? To be honest, I really don't care what the reason is, I'm just glad the offer what they do. I was so very concerned to move my board from where I was at, considering I had moved it once before. I was also leaving behind 600+ members and was hoping they would follow. Some did and some didn't, I also got a lot of new members that I have become good friends with. For that I am thankful!
I would like to take this time to tip my hat to BbBoy, Pamster, & BbAdminMod. They somehow manage to run this place very smoothly and always offer a smile while doing it. Remember how I said I always searching the web for free hosted message boards? Well I don't do that anymore......I don't need to. Now the only question I face is "What Theme am I going to put up next?"
