Oooohh! Barring a school (or wife-"isn't 17 ENOUGH?") conflict, count me in! ONLY a 4 hour drive!

Re: Wild Adventures
It's a 15 minute drive for us. My mother has season tickets for all the concerts (second row on the center aisle). She likes country, so when it is rock group, she lets my husband and I have them. Wild Adventures was the first place I saw them in June of 2001. Since then, I've sent several emails a year to Wild Adventures telling them they need to have CS back. I'm so glad they decided to listen!!

Hey sewfine-Little wife and I were right behind you at that show, I believe. Seats 143 and 144. 3rd or 4th row, just right of the aisle. Ed and that silver shirt, all the stiff old people hollering "Sit down!" Maybe see ya there in March.

I was there, Ken! That was the first time I saw them. I was in front of Dean about 6 rows back.

Re: Wild Adventures
ok question for those who have been before: Do you have to pay for park admission to get into the concert? or can you pay a lesser price to just go to the concert?

And Sonya, if your mother isn't using her season tickets on Feb 19th I know someone who would be more than happy to take them off her hands for that day :biggrinyellow: you know just so they wouldn't go to waste or anything. heehee

Re: Wild Adventures
Ang, You have to pay park admission to get in the park. However, if you like amusement parks at all, it is a great one. The lines usually aren't too long. There is an animal park as well as the rides and a water park. You can come back the second day free. And you can upgrade it to a season pass for just a little more than the cost of the one/two day pass. They have several good rollercoasters for the coaster inclined. The pass will also get you into the sister park Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, Florida.

We have room for a few overnight guests if anyone needs a place to stay.

Re: Wild Adventures
Ken, Hubby and I were on the left. I don't understand why in the world you would want to go to a rock concert and sit on your behind. But some of the folks there who have bought their reserved seats think they have bought the right to sit thru the concert. We went to see Cinderella/Poisen there a couple of years ago. Poisen must have told Wild Adventures that they didn't want security to keep people in their seats, because as soon as they came on stage, everyone came forward, seating assigments be %&*(%. Maybe CS could give them similar instuctions. Maybe we should request that CS request that of WA?

Sorry Ang, Mom's seats are already taken :-}

I was afraid of that. See I don't mind it for CS but for the show on 2/19 (American Hi-Fi) I really didn't want to pay that much. I mean I really like AHF but I don't think I love them enough to spend almost $100 (admission, tickets, gas etc) especially since the people I'd be with wouldn't be into hanging around the park. :ohwell: I think I may have to pass on the AHF show and go see them in B'ham the next night instead.

I might take you up on that place to stay when CS plays there though! :smile:

Re: Wild Adventures
OK. So I did end up going to see AHF at Wild Adventures yesterday and while I had a great time with 2 of the bands that played I thought the amplitheatre sucked. The first like 5 or 6 rows of the reserved section were completely empty. Most people were sitting down during ALL of the bands. Security in the reserved section were *sses! One girl walked up to the barrier, snapped a picture and had already made it back to her seat when the security guy came over and reprimanded her for not staying at her seat. It was lame. It was obvious that she wasn't trying to just go up front and stand. And so what if she was THERE WAS NO ONE UP THERE!!!

I didn't ask but I'm sure it sort of sucked for the bands to have their fans so far away.

Anyway... I hope it's not like that for CS but I wanted to give my venue review. and I'm glad I went because now I won't feel so bad about missing the show.
