The Trigger

The most annoying thing with my Mosin Nagant is the way each one has a different trigger pull and only one feels like it might be right.

I have looked over many ways to fix this but I thought I would ask others first before I change mine around.

Here is the web site that I have listed before. It is one that has done most of the leg work for us.

Re: The Trigger

Anyone doing the trigger thing here.

I just want to know if people have tried this or any other way to soften the pull or take up the slack in the trigger? Taking up the slack will help in the pull on the trigger.

Re: The Trigger

i just filed the holding rod on mine, makes it slip off a little easier but not so easy that it may discharge without warrant. dropped the pull about 1lb

Re: The Trigger

I now have the parts to do a trigger thing. I picked up a few so I can play with them and not worry about messing one up.

Re: The Trigger

well russian military specs said you should be able to hold the weight of the rifle on the trigger itself without it discharging, but they make a retention spring that goes on the back of the trigger if it has extra slack. only like $10 can get it here.
