There will be an "Take Back America Rally" held at
Capital Park in Augusta, which is just east of the state house. The time will be 1-4 pm. October 30, 2010. It is on the Saturday before the election. There will be Booths, Information Tables and Food Vendors. Bring what you need to sit and stay comfortable. This rally could be benefical to MPM in a low key presence sort of way. Need input on this idea, so lets hear it.... From what I see and hear at this point it is put together by the Maine Patriots Tea Party................. |

This is a very good idea, talk to some of these large militias, that's where they get most of their people, at events like this. If my vehicle was reliable I'd go.

My wife and I will also be there , Is there a small MPM flag or something identifiable to MPM members to look for and gather there as a group. In my opinion cammie and open carry would be too strong of a showing at this point in time.....just a thought...

I believe you are very correct on your thinking about the cammies, Black Bear. And quite honestly a this time (just prior to election day) it may be (wearing cammies and open carry) may scare off needed undecided voters, on the other hand, plain cloths and those who have concealed weapons permits to have them, even if your carrying a pocket knife. As per those who dont have concealed weapons permits i STRONGLY urge you to get them, even if all you are carrying is a swiss army fingernail clippers.

Would agree with Survivor and Bear...what we need to do is win people to the cause, not scare them off. It's the way the left plays, only we don't have a hidden agenda - we're wearing it on our sleeves. And also agree on CCW for EVERYONE, just as a matter of course. A right not exercised is a right lost.

My CCW is not renewed yet. So,Im not carrying there. I f you must carry , CONCEAL IT ! or do not carry it there............
