Are there any club restrictions on this king of, in-river work? Obviously the only thing sucking in this scenario would be my pump. Or am I beating a dead horse? :beatingadeadhorse: I sure hope not. Thanks for any advice or experiences. |

If you are running material that is in the water, then you are ok. Once you try to run dry material from the bank or gravel bar into the river, you are in violation. The conventional wisdom is to keep the dry things dry and the wet things wet. |

Good to know we're all on the same page on this subject. The plan is to use a highbanker in-stream to shovel in-stream overburden into. Then remove the lesser overburden near bedrock with a blaster nozzle. No dry dirt involved. This should shorten the time to get to bedrock and catch the overburden gold more effectively. Of course there are places this technique might or might not work, so 'flexibility' is the key word these days. And of course, 'wetsuit heater' too. |
