Mouth of Klamath
Hi all you gold diggers.

I thought you folks might enjoy a picture of the mouth of the Klamath River at Requa. The guy in the photo is me performing a property survey just below the old Air Force radar base.

It really is a pretty neat area Tobin. You should see it at flood stage. My family had two homes go out this mouth when I was growing up. I live on higher ground now.


Yes, it's one of those tough setups Harry. The backsight and foresite were up and down the hill. Sighting uphill I was standing just over the bank looking up through my eyebrow with my head turned kind of sideways and looking downhill the slope is steeper than a cows face so I'm virtually on top of the instrument. You know.

BUT THERE WASN'T ANY BUSH IN THE WAY!

We always liked surveying in your neck of the woods Harry. Level ground, very little brush, clients that had the check ready for you when the job was done and local governments that said "just take care of it surveyor, we trust your judgement and interpretation of the rules.

Yes, Really neat area. Lived there back in 68. My dad & mom had the Klamath Resort[as it was know back then] in the Glen. Even worked at the sawmill for awhile before I went into the service. Lot`s of trips to Blue Creek Fishing, Salmon & Sturgen. Do you know Bev at the smoke house in the Glen?

Yes I remember the resort. We, my folks and 7 children, lived in the old town of Klamath until the 55 flood and in the Glen until the 64 flood. Like the song says, "It was a different world".

I haven't been to the Glen in awhile so I'm not sure about knowing Bev.
