very used Ruger Blackhawk .45 long Colt
I have an old rancher's Ruger Blackhawk chambered in .45 long Colt that I wouldn't mind parting with. It is not in the prettiest condition, as much of the bluing has been worn off, and judging by some marks on the butt and barrel, I'd guess a fence needed mending and a hammer wasn't handy, but it still shoots very well. I'd like four pennyweights (96 grains) of gold for it.

Yes it is. If I need to ship it somewhere I will ship it in two packages. One will have the cylinder and the other will have the rest of the gun. That way I will be shipping gun parts rather than a whole gun. I do not know if that is absolutely necessary, but it makes the UPS people very happy when I do it that way.

Are you sure you don't need to ship that to an FFL? If it's in state usually not a problem, but cross state ... best be careful.

I have shipped several guns this way, and the UPS people were the ones that instructed me to do it this way. I shipped an intact revolver to Ruger this way, and after inspection they shipped it right back to my home. So, as far as I know, it is okay.

However, I sold this revolver today...
