We had hoped to do a week long dredging outing but the club is not doing that this summer. We are newbies and are flying to Portland and driving down, if anyone has any suggestions for us on a good place to sluice and pan that would be great. We have set aside 3 additional days to prospect after the group weekend. I plan on buying what we need to work with at the 49ers bad shipping back home to FL before we fly home. Did you know you can also fly into Medford Oregon? Medford is only a couple of hours from here. |

It's our first time out west and first vacation in 18 years! First nite we are staying on Mt Hood and making our way to Happy Camp starting on Thursday. We check into Bigfoot RV Park on Friday. Really hope this area works out as we can retire in about 5 years And would love to prospect the last 20-30 years! Next time we can fly into Sacramento and check out scenery from south to north. We are very excited! We will be in happy camp from Friday to Friday. Gold fever has taken us over lol our group met Last night and decided we will just hand out and pan and sluice the clubs properties so can't wait for the group weekend Outing and meet all you fine folks! So any suggestions on the right claims for newbies without any equipment just feel free to make any suggestions and recommendations. 96 days and counting! |
