There will be a new treasure hunting show premiering on August 24th.

It will be called LOST TREASURE HUNTERS and guess what?

Dave is one of the main stars!

Good work Dave!!! I have been looking forward to this since you told me about it. I have already told everyone I know about it. I hope the editors will do you proud!

I would like to point out that most adventure programs have one fool involved in the action, so next time perhaps you should bring me along to fill that quota....

I hope it will be a truthful show and not filled with all the drama that's on the parent networks, Discovery and History (Gold Rush, Bering Sea etc). Somehow I don't trust Animal Planet, especially after watching River Monsters and the host lamented about how the "gold rush" in So America is spoiling the river system from the dredging. Made my blood boil- it's brought an economy to the local people! Dave- all I can say is don't let them edit you!

I'm hoping these showes will bring a lot of new interest in the mining world! I watched a lot of new people trying out dredging just because of these showes. By next year you will be seeing a lot of new people in the lower 48 giving it a try. If I could dredge for diamonds and gold in Africa I would do it in a second! But you have got to know someone with a concession so watch the showes and listen to the names!!

Golconda Diamonds: What Are They?

The Golconda diamond mines are located in south central India in what today is the state of Hyderabad. This region was the first known source for rough diamonds from approxiamtely the 4th century B.C. until 1730 when diamonds were discovered in Brazil.
The defining characteristics of Golconda diamonds and what sets them apart and in a class by themselves are their incredible transparency, "whiteness", and purity.
Both the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the world reknowned Gubelin Gem Lab characterize diamonds displaying the finest white color and transparency as type IIa, signifying that they are free from nitogen and are therefore chemically pure and colorless. The term "Golconda" has come to define diamonds of the finest white color and transparency.

Some descriptive terms used to define Golconda diamonds have been; "whiter than white", "like a clear river stream", and brighter than bright".
Golconda diamonds are very, very rare in today's market and if you do come across one it will usually be at a Christie's or Sotheby's auction.

I noticed on the Animal planet schedule that the show is no longer scheduled to air on the 24th. Schedule undecided??????

Even after we delivered this mailing to the post office we received the following message:

Dear Cast Members: We have good and bad news. The bad news... the network is putting the premiere of Lost Treasure Hunters on hold until the first quarter of 2013 because Discovery channel has decided to air the new episodes of Goldrush Alaska in the same time-slot that we were planning. The good news is that, since we're more or less targeting the same audience, our show will now premier at a time when there are fewer distractions.

We will provide new play times as soon as we have them!
