This just makes me sick to my stomach! Give someone, that thinks they have the authority to act independently, a badge and a gun and look what happens. Someone in the position of power is setting us up so we will loose our mining rights and the right to keep and bare arms.....the orders come from the top ranking policy makers and you can bet, it will take a lot of research, money and digging to root out these sources to eradicate them as they have a lot of "pawns" below them to take the heat... just saying.... GN :whoohoo:

Good for you Eric West at the Ennis Riffle.

I support your stance completely. I also have never purchased their permit.

On 7/1/10 I was "carded" by an OSP at Goldhill while I and my 12 year old grandson were launching my dredge. Nothing came of it and we enjoyed the dredging season in peace. My trooper was a decent, forgiving man, he understood exactly what the real problem was and we parted on friendly terms.

Here's wishing you the best possible outcome, stand your ground.

Just recently, I was checked by an Oregon State Police Officer and had a similiar experience. The officer was polite and courteous. No problems! He indicated that just prior to checking me he was about to launch his boat and check a number of dredges down river i.e. from the old Gold Ray Dam site.
